6550 1W Laser CNC Engraving Machine DIY Kit US plug

This is the hugely popular 6550 Laser Engraving Kit. It comes unassembled. Once built, it can be used as a desktop Laser Engraving Kit. The build process offers a nice learning opportunity about Stepper Motors, Controllers, Sensors, CNC Operations, software, etc.  It's a great tool for learning about CNC & Laser Engraving.

This 6550 laser CNC is designed with high-quality rugged materials and has a larger engraving area of 650mm *500 mm. It features an upgraded NEMA Standard stepper motor and is made of corrosion-proof iron and aluminum. The machine provides a  USB interface and GRBL Control. You can work on multiple materials like wood, acrylic, MDF, PCB, Leather, Stone, Paper, Shell, etc.

This Laser Engraving Machine comes with a LASER Light power of 1 Watts and a wavelength of 450nm. You can upgrade the laser module for the same machine with a higher watt as per your requirements(to be purchased separately)

The wattage of a laser cutter also determines the types of materials that can be cut and their thicknesses. Here’s a general guideline for selecting the right power level for different materials:

• 5.5-40 watts: Suitable for paper, thin plastic, and light fabrics
• 40-60 watts: Works well for wood, acrylic, glass, and other medium-density materials
• 60-120 watts: Can handle metal, thick plastics, and dense materials
• 120 watts and above Ideal for heavy-duty cutting, such as cutting through thick or hard metals

Precautions:

• Because of the powerful laser power, it is forbidden to run the engraving machine without being supervised. Pause it if you're not around.
• For detailed machine instructions, please refer to the manual for parameter settings.
• When operating the laser engraving machine, please install the laser protective cover please wear laser goggles during usage, and avoid touching the laser directly with your eyes and skin
• Please avoid a strong impact on the machine.
• It is forbidden for children under 14 years old to use this product, and children over 14 years old need adult supervision.
• Do not apply the laser directly to any specular reflection object, which may cause injury to the operator or burn the laser. To engrave on glass, please stick glass-colored paper before engraving.
