Build your own smart robot from scratch. This comprehensive ESP32 Turtle Car Kit teaches you robotics, coding, and electronics in one go. Features WiFi Control, Obstacle Avoidance, Line Tracking, and Object Following modes. Powered by the robust ESP32 microcontroller, it is compatible with the Arduino IDE and perfect for STEM education.
Quick Introduction: Dive into the world of Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics with the ESP32 Smart Turtle Car V2.0. Unlike basic Arduino cars, this kit is built around the powerful ESP32 module, giving you built-in WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities right out of the box. Whether you want to control it via a mobile app, have it autonomously navigate a maze, or follow a black line track, this kit provides all the hardware and code you need to make it happen.
Detailed Specifications
Main Controller: ESP32 Development Board (WiFi + Bluetooth).
Motor Driver: L298N Dual H-Bridge Module.
Sensors Included:
Ultrasonic Sensor (HC-SR04): For obstacle avoidance and distance measurement.
Line Tracking Module (TCRT5000): For following tracks.
Infrared Receiver: For remote control operation.
Control Methods:
Android/iOS App: Control via WiFi.
IR Remote: Handheld remote included.
Autonomous: Self-driving modes.
Chassis: Acrylic "Turtle" platform with easy-mount holes.
Power: 2x 18650 Batteries (Holder included, batteries included).
Programming Environment: Arduino IDE (C++).
Quality Advantage & Differentiation: Why choose the ESP32 Turtle Car?
Connectivity: The ESP32 allows for web-based control and telemetry, a huge upgrade over standard Arduino Uno cars. You can view sensor data on your phone in real-time.
No-Solder Assembly: The kit is designed with custom cables and screw terminals, meaning no soldering iron is required. It's safe and easy for classrooms or home beginners.
Comprehensive Learning: Covers everything from basic motor control (PWM) to complex sensor integration logic, providing a complete STEM curriculum in a box.
Key Applications & Usage
STEM Education: Perfect for teaching logic, physics, and coding in schools or coding camps.
Remote Inspection: Use the WiFi capabilities to drive the bot into hard-to-reach places (under furniture/crawlspaces).
Coding Practice: Modify the open-source code to add new features like voice control or swarm behaviour.
Fun & Racing: Challenge friends to an obstacle course race or line-following time trial.
What's Included & Required
Included: 1x Acrylic Chassis, 2x Gear Motors with Wheels, 1x ESP32 Board, 1x Expansion Shield, 1x L298N Driver, 1x Ultrasonic Sensor with Servo Mount, 1x Line Tracking Module, 1x IR Remote, 1x Battery Box, Wires & Screws.
Required: 2x 18650 Li-Ion Batteries, Battery Charger, PC for programming.
The "Virtual Technician" Support Panel
⚠️ BATTERY WARNING:
This kit typically uses 18650 Lithium-Ion batteries. Due to shipping regulations, these are OFTEN NOT INCLUDED in the box. Please check your local inventory or order them separately.
Polarity Check: When inserting batteries, double-check the + and - signs. Putting them in backwards can instantly fry the motor driver or the ESP32 shield.
⚠️ WIRING TIPS:
Motor Direction: If your car moves backwards when you press forward, simply swap the Red and Black wires for that specific motor at the L298N driver terminal.
Servo Centring: Before attaching the ultrasonic sensor "head," run the code to centre the servo motor (90 degrees) so it looks straight ahead by default.
⚠️ WiFi SETUP:
You will need to edit the Arduino code to enter your WiFi SSID and Password before uploading, or connect to the car's own Access Point (AP Mode), depending on the specific firmware used.
