  No, this is a DIY kit. Mechanical assembly is mostly done, but you will need to set up the electronics, wiring, and configure the software.
• Can this machine cut steel?
  It is designed primarily for non-ferrous metals (Aluminum, Brass) and softer materials. Cutting steel is possible but very slow and not recommended for tool longevity.
• What software do I need to run this?
  Mach3 is the industry standard for these controllers. For generating G-code, you need 5-axis capable CAM software like Fusion 360.
• Is the water pump necessary for wood carving?
  Yes. Even for wood, the water cools the spindle bearings, not just the tool. Always run the pump.
• How accurate is the 5th axis?
  The rotary axes utilize reduction gears to ensure high holding torque and reasonable precision (typically 0.05mm repeatability).
• Does it support USB or Parallel port?
  Most industrial-style 6040 controllers use a Parallel (LPT) port for real-time timing. Check if a USB adapter card is included or required.
