This robust system is built around five high-performance TEC1-12706 Peltier modules sandwiched between a dedicated water block and an expansive aluminum heatsink.
Advanced Hybrid Thermal Management This kit utilizes a dual-exchange design to maximize the temperature differential. The hot side utilizes a high-conductivity water block, which, when connected to a pump and external radiator, provides superior heat extraction compared to air cooling alone. The cold side features a massive industrial aluminum heatsink equipped with five high-speed brushless DC fans, ensuring the cold air is distributed effectively across your target enclosure.

What power supply do I need for this 300W kit? You require a heavy-duty 12V DC power supply rated for at least 30A to 40A to handle the current draw of five Peltiers and fans.
Does the water block require a pump? Yes, to cool the hot side effectively, you must connect the water block to a water pump and a radiator system.
Why is liquid cooling used on the hot side? Liquid is more efficient at removing high heat loads than air, allowing the Peltier modules to reach lower temperatures on the cold side.
Can I run the fans and Peltiers on separate power sources? Yes, the fans and modules can be wired separately if you wish to control fan speeds independently.
Is thermal paste included? Yes, Its applied and assembled.
How cold can the air-cooling side get? Depending on your radiator efficiency and ambient temperature, the air-side heatsink can drop well below freezing.
What happens if I don't use water on the hot side? Without water flow, the hot side will rapidly overheat and potentially burn out the Peltier modules.
Is this kit pre-assembled? The fans and heatsink are typically pre-mounted; however, plumbing for the water block is required.
Can I use this for a 24V system? No, the TEC1-12706 modules and fans in this kit are specifically designed for 12V DC operation.
What is the purpose of the 5 fans? They blow air across the cold-side heatsink to distribute refrigerated air throughout your project box.
How loud are the fans? They sound similar to a high-end desktop PC; about 30-40dB total when all five are running.
Will condensation form on the heatsink? Yes, if the temperature drops below the dew point, ice or water will form; use insulation to manage runoff.
What is the total current draw? Approximately 25A to 30A at peak performance.
Is it waterproof? The water block is sealed for liquid, but the fans and electrical connections are not waterproof.
Can I use this to cool a CPU? While possible, it is more commonly used for cooling entire small chambers or enclosures.
How thick is the aluminum heatsink? It is a high-mass industrial extrusion designed for high thermal inertia.
Can I use this for a DIY beer dispenser? Yes, this hybrid kit is powerful enough to maintain serving temperatures for small beverage containers.
What gauge wire should I use for power? Due to the high current (30A+), use at least 10AWG or 12AWG wire for the main power trunk.
