The MQ-5 Liquefied Gas & Coal Gas Sensor Module is the engineer's choice for specific fuel leak detection. It is chemically tuned to be highly sensitive to LPG, Natural Gas, and Coal Gas while remaining largely unresponsive to alcohol and cooking fumes. This makes it the perfect heart for a "Smart Kitchen Guardian" that only alerts you when it really matters.

Compatibility & Platform Support

ESP32 / ESP8266: ⚠️ Caution Required. The Analog output typically ranges 0-4V. You MUST use a voltage divider (e.g., 10kΩ & 20kΩ resistors) to drop the signal below 3.3V to avoid damaging the ESP32 ADC.
Raspberry Pi: ⚠️ Requires ADC. The Pi cannot read analog voltages. Use an external ADC chip (MCP3008) or a digital-only trigger via the D0 pin.
