It includes the latest ESP32 WiFi and BLE chip and all external hardware and circuitry required to develop IoT Solutions around it. It comes with a Battery Holder, Battery Charger, USB Interface for programming and debugging, Voltage regulator, etc. The module can be charged through USB and also run the program simultaneously. By including all the hardware required to build IoT Sensor Nodes, Data Concentrators, and other IoT product, this board gives the user a tried and tested platform to develop his product. The user need not worry about hardware design, fabrication and implements but can concentrate on developing his product/application and getting a proof of concept ready. This simplifies product development and greatly shortens production time. This module uses the hugely popular and standard size 18650 lithium battery. You may run it off USB too if you do not use the battery. A standard 2600 mAh 18650 size battery (NOT included) could make this module run upto 15 hours on a single charge. You can buy a compatible battery for this module - here The ESP32 Module has built in power regulation circuits, onboard antennas, noise filters and fits onto a breadboard for rapid prototyping. The ESP32 can interface with other MCUs as master or slave, or function completely standalone through SPI/SDIO, I2C and UART. This module uses AT commands which can be used to add WiFi and BLE support to your micro controller/device, but why stop there. Thanks to the espressif and the git community we were able to use this module a standalone microcontroller and program it in the Arduino IDE. Simply select the board from the menu and the port option like any normal Arduino device and play with some example files provided! We used the Wi-Fi test code to scan our area for Wi-Fi channels. When used in standalone mode with no external micro controllers, this module can directly communicate with sensors and a cloud server. The module can also support an SD card (external module required)and multiple sensors with its 32 GPIO pins (all of which can be used for PWM). This microcontroller has TWO microprocessor inside the metal RF shield as one will act as the co-processor. You have the capability of turning off the main processor when not in use to save power.
