Precision engineering requires precision hardware. The M3 Sliding T-Nut for 2020 profiles is the "set it and forget it" solution for creators who demand structural integrity. Unlike "drop-in" nuts that can twist out of alignment, these sliding nuts provide a superior surface area contact, ensuring your linear rails and brackets stay exactly where you bolt them.
Not all fasteners are made equal. Our T-nuts are Probots™ ProSpec Grade, manufactured from high-carbon steel rather than soft alloys to prevent thread stripping under high torque. Every batch is Probots™ Lab Verified in our Bangalore facility to ensure the 10x6mm dimensions fit perfectly within standard 2020 extrusions without jamming. Feature Upgrade: This M3 sliding nut unlocks the ability to use Internal Flush Mounting. It allows you to mount accessories directly into the slot without bulky external plates, keeping your build clean and compact.
Effort/Requirements: Beginner level. Requires sliding the nuts into the profile ends before closing the frame with corner brackets.
Safety Warning: Ensure the end of your aluminum profile is deburred (smooth) before sliding the nuts in to prevent jamming.
Installation Guide:
Calculate how many nuts you need for each profile length before final assembly.
Slide the M3 T-nuts into the 6mm slot from the open end of the 2020 profile.
Use a small piece of tape or a "T-nut stopper" if you need to hold them in vertical profiles during assembly.
Align your bracket/rail and thread in your M3 screws. The nut will self-center as you tighten.

Required Additional: M3 Button Head or Socket Head Screws (Length depends on your bracket thickness), 2020 Aluminum Profile.
Will these fit 2040 profiles? Yes, they fit any profile in the 20 series with a 6mm slot.
Can I "drop" these in from the top of the slot? No, these are sliding nuts; they must be inserted from the end of the profile.
What is the material? They are made of Zinc/Nickel-plated carbon steel for maximum strength.
Do I need to tap the profile to use these? No, they slide directly into the T-slot groove.
What length screw should I use? Typically, a 6mm or 8mm screw is used for 3mm thick brackets.
Are these compatible with V-slot profiles? Yes, they work perfectly with both T-slot and V-slot 2020 profiles.
How many nuts come in a pack? Each pack contains one sliding nut.
Can I use these for 3030 profiles? No, 3030 profiles have an 8mm slot; these 6mm nuts will be too loose.
Will M3 screws from my Arduino kit work? As long as they are metric M3, yes.
Do these rust? The plating provides high corrosion resistance for indoor and enclosure use.
Are they better than hammer-head nuts? Yes, sliding nuts provide more surface contact and are less likely to rotate or slip.
