Why Do I Need This? (The Logic)

• Standard Install: Maglocks are designed for "Out-Swing" doors (Push to exit). The magnet sits on the frame, and the plate sits on the door.

• The Problem: On an "In-Swing" door (Pull to exit), the door leaf moves away from the frame header. There is nowhere to mount the plate.

• The Solution: The L-Bracket hangs the magnet down from the frame. The Z-Bracket reaches around the top of the door to hold the armature plate facing the magnet.

• Double Check Lock Size: This bracket is sized for 280kg (600lb) locks only. It is too small for 500kg locks and too big for 180kg locks. Check your lock dimensions before buying.

• Alignment is Key: Install the L-brackets first. Then, assemble the Z-brackets loosely. Close the doors and adjust the Z-brackets until the armature plates sit perfectly flush against the magnet faces. Tighten all screws only after confirming alignment.

• Drilling Required: You will need to drill into your door frame and door leaf to install these brackets.

   • No. The hole spacing and dimensions are specific to the standard 280kg (600lb) lock body.

   • No! If your door pushes out (away from the magnet), you do not need ZL brackets. You can mount the lock directly.

3. What material is it?

   • Anodised Aluminium. It is rust-resistant and matches the silver finish of the lock.

4. Can I use this on glass doors?

   • No. For frameless glass doors, you need a U-Bracket. ZL brackets require screws to be drilled into the door (Wood/Metal).

5. Is it adjustable?

   • Yes, the Z-bracket has slots that allow you to adjust the depth/distance of the armature plate.

6. Can I paint these brackets?

   • Yes, you can spray paint them to match your door color (e.g., Bronze or White).
