Wire Gauge Note: 14AWG This assembly uses 14AWG Silicone Wire. While the XT90 connector itself is rated for 90A+, the 14AWG wire is rated for approximately 55A continuous. This makes this cable perfect for:

Medium-Power Applications: Drones or RC Trucks drawing under 60A but using XT90 for durability.
Test Bench Use: Quick extensions for testing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why use 14AWG with XT90? It keeps the cable flexible and light. Many users use XT90 connectors for their ruggedness, not necessarily because they need full 90A. 14AWG is plenty for charging or moderate loads (up to 55A).
Can I run 90 Amps through this? No. The wire will get very hot. For sustained 90A, you need thicker 10AWG or 8AWG wire.
Is this the "Anti-Spark" version? No, this is the standard XT90. The Anti-Spark version (XT90-S) has a green band. Standard XT90 is fully compatible with XT90-S plugs, but you won't get the spark protection.
Is it Male-to-Female? Yes, it is an extension cable. One end plugs into the battery, the other into the device.
Is the wire silicone? Yes, high-quality high-strand silicone wire that stays flexible.
Will it fit XT60? No, XT90 is much larger than XT60.
Can I use it for solar panels? Yes, many portable solar generators use XT90 inputs. 14AWG is sufficient for most portable solar panels (usually <20A).
What is the voltage limit? Silicone wire handles up to 600V. It is safe for high-voltage setups (12S, 48V, etc.).
Are the connectors genuine Amass? These are high-quality generic connectors fully compatible with Amass.
Can I cut it? Yes, you can cut it to create pigtails.
Is it waterproof? The cable is, but the open connectors are not.
Does it come with covers? Yes, usually the XT90H style with rear covers, or heat shrink depending on the batch.
Is the length exact? It is sold as 10cm wire length, tolerance +/- 5mm.
Why is XT90 so hard to unplug? They are designed for a very tight fit to handle high current. Wiggle it gently while pulling.
Can I use this on a 1000W e-bike? Yes. 1000W at 48V is roughly 20A. This cable handles that easily.
Is the polarity marked? Yes, "+" and "-" are molded into the plastic housing.
What is the weight? Approx 35g.
Can I use it to charge my LiPo? Yes, it is ideal for extending charger leads.
Does the wire have a brand? Usually generic unbranded silicone wire.
Is it suitable for 12S builds? Yes, voltage is not an issue, just monitor your current draw.
