The most versatile ESP8266 module for range and reliability. Features an industrial-grade metal shield, 1MB Flash, and dual antenna options (Onboard Ceramic + External IPEX/U.FL) for flexible IoT deployments.
Quick Introduction: Stop choosing between convenience and range. The ESP8266 ESP-07 gives you the best of both worlds. Unlike the ESP-12F (which only has a PCB antenna) or the ESP-01 (which has limited pins), the ESP-07 features a high-gain Ceramic Chip Antenna for compact installs and a U.FL/IPEX Connector for attaching an external high-gain antenna when you need to punch through walls. Protected by an industrial-grade metal EMI shield, this module is the gold standard for reliable IoT nodes.
Detailed Specifications
Core Chip: ESP8266EX (Tensilica L106 32-bit MCU @ 80/160 MHz).
Flash Memory: 1MB (8Mbit) - Sufficient for standard IoT firmware and basic OTA.
Antenna Options:
Primary: Onboard Ceramic Chip Antenna (Great for compact enclosures).
Secondary: U.FL / IPEX Connector (For connecting external SMA antennas).
Pins: 16 Pins (9 GPIOs, ADC, UART, SPI, EN, RST).
Pin Pitch: 2.0mm (Note: Not standard 2.54mm breadboard pitch).
Logic Voltage: 3.3V (NOT 5V tolerant).
Shielding: Integrated Metal RF Shield for noise immunity.
Quality Advantage & Differentiation: Why choose the ESP-07 over the ESP-12F?
Antenna Flexibility: The ESP-12F's PCB antenna is directional and can be detuned by nearby metal. The ESP-07's Ceramic Antenna is more robust against detuning, and the IPEX connector allows you to mount a proper 3dBi or 5dBi antenna outside a metal enclosure—impossible with an ESP-12F.
Breadboard Friendly (with Adapter): While the 2mm pitch is tricky, it is the standard for compact PCBs. Using a simple breakout adapter (sold separately) makes it instantly prototyping-ready.
EMI Shielding: The metal can reduce interference from nearby switching power supplies or motors, essential for industrial environments.
Key Applications & Usage
Long-Range Sensor Nodes: Use an external antenna to transmit temperature data from a garden shed or basement.
Smart Plugs & Relays: Compact size fits easily inside wall boxes.
RC Remote Control: Low-latency WiFi control for drones or cars using the external antenna for range.
WiFi Repeaters: Create a mesh node with superior signal reception.
What's Included & Required
Included: 1x ESP8266 ESP-07 WiFi Module.
Required: 3.3V Power Supply (LDO), USB-to-TTL Converter (for programming), 10kΩ Pull-up/down resistors, Breadboard Adapter Plate (recommended).

The "Virtual Technician" Support Panel
⚠️ CRITICAL SETUP WARNING:
Pin Pitch: The pins are spaced at 2.0mm, not the standard 2.54mm. You cannot plug this directly into a breadboard. You must use an "ESP8266 Adapter Plate" or solder wires carefully.
3.3V ONLY: Connecting this to 5V will instantly fry the chip. Use a 3.3V regulator (AMS1117-3.3) and logic level shifters for RX/TX if connecting to an Arduino Uno.
Power Hungry: WiFi transmission spikes up to 400mA. Do not power this solely from an Arduino's 3.3V pin; it often causes boot loops. Use a dedicated 3.3V supply.
Pinout Reference (Boot Modes):
To Run (Normal Boot): GPIO 0 = HIGH (3.3V), GPIO 15 = LOW (GND), GPIO 2 = HIGH (3.3V), EN = HIGH.
To Flash (Program Mode): GPIO 0 = LOW (GND), GPIO 15 = LOW, EN = HIGH.
Note: RST must be pulled HIGH for operation. Pull LOW momentarily to reset.
Troubleshooting: Blue LED blinks, but no WiFi? This often means "Brownout." Your power supply isn't providing enough current. Add a 100uF capacitor across VCC and GND close to the module.
Call to Action (CTA) Don't let weak signals kill your project. Add the ESP8266 ESP-07 to your cart today and get the range your IoT devices deserve!
