Lidar stands for “Light Detection and Ranging.” It is an active remote sensing technology, meaning it sends out pulses of energy, and then reads the reflected return of that energy, to gather information about the world around it. Lidar uses the light detection technique to calculate depth. It measures the time it takes for each laser pulse to bounce back from an obstacle. This pulsed laser measurement is used to create 2D or 3D models (also known as a point cloud).
TF350 is an Industrial-Grade long-range LiDAR based on the pulsed ToF (time of flight) principle and it is designed for the Long range up to 350m with the unique design of the optical system and the signal processing circuit improved the detecting performance in a compact size. In addition to increasing the range to more than 70 meters, the key parameters also have excellent performance in the whole range, such as distance resolution, accuracy, repeatability, and detection frequency. In addition, the product meets the IP67 rating and optimizes various compensation algorithms, with unique optics, electricity, and algorithms to achieve stability, precision, sensitivity, and high-speed distance measurement. It can work under a strong light environment and rain, fog, and snow conditions. TF350 applies to the collision avoidance of cars, intelligent transportation, and industrial safety warnings.
It operates on 5-24V and can connect to a microcontroller, PLC, and computer through an RS232/485 interface. Please go through the development manual under the Technical Details Tab for the detailed commands and responses by the sensor.
