4. Can I run this fan on a 24V 3D printer mainboard? NO. Applying 24V to this 12V fan will instantly burn out the internal brushless controller chip and destroy the fan. You must use a step-down buck converter to drop the 24V to 12V first.

5. Which direction does the air flow? By standard design, air is pulled in through the open blade side and pushes out towards the side with the plastic cross-struts and the central sticker. The blueprint also illustrates this airflow direction.

6. What does "Brushless" mean? Brushless (BLDC) means the motor uses an electronic controller to switch the magnetic fields, rather than using physical carbon brushes that scrape against a commutator. This results in a much longer lifespan and quieter operation.

7. What size screws do I need to mount this? The corner holes are approximately 3.2mm in diameter. You should use standard M3 machine screws and nuts.

10. Can I reverse the red and black wires to make the fan blow backwards? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Unlike simple brushed motors, reversing the polarity on a brushless DC fan will instantly fry the internal circuit board. To reverse the airflow, you must physically unbolt the fan and flip it around.

11. Does this fan support PWM speed control? This is a 2-wire fan, meaning it does not have a dedicated 3rd or 4th wire for a tachometer or PWM signal. However, you can control its speed by applying a PWM signal to its power supply using an external MOSFET or motor driver board.

12. Is this fan waterproof? No. The internal circuit board is exposed. Keep it away from water, mist, and extreme humidity.

13. What type of connector is on the end of the wire? It features a standard 2-pin female connector with a 2.54mm pitch (often referred to as a JST-XH or Dupont-style connector).
