Minimum hardware

• 2× AA Batteries  to supply the 3V DC input required by the voltage step-up circuit. (Do not use 3.7V Li-ion cells as they may overload the initial stage).
• Soldering Iron & Solder  to permanently assemble the through-hole components (resistors, diodes, capacitor) onto the provided PCB.
• Flush Cutters  to neatly trim the component legs after soldering, preventing accidental high-voltage shorts on the bottom of the board.

Safety Warnings

• High Voltage Hazard: The large electrolytic capacitor stores charge at several hundred volts. Never touch the capacitor leads or the coil terminals while the circuit is powered or charged.
