The GY-906 MLX90614ESF-DCI is the heavyweight champion of the MLX family. With an ultra-narrow 5° Field of View (FOV), this sensor functions like a thermal "laser," allowing you to pinpoint the temperature of a specific object from up to 60cm to 100cm away without interference from surrounding heat sources.
This is not your average hobbyist sensor. This is a Probots™ ProSpec Grade module, specifically sourced for its high-end DCI silicon variant. While others sell the basic BAA model, we provide the DCI version, which is Probots™ Lab Verified in our Bangalore facility to ensure it meets the strict 5° optical specification required for medical-grade kiosks and industrial safety systems. Because we know you're building serious hardware, this module is Probots™ Logic-Safe, featuring on-board regulation and level shifting to work seamlessly with 3.3V and 5V systems without risk of data corruption.

Feature Upgrade: This sensor unlocks the ability to measure targets through small apertures or at significant distances where standard sensors would produce "averaged" (incorrect) data.
Effort/Requirements: Intermediate. Due to the 5° FOV, alignment is critical. You may need to design a 3D-printed bracket or use a laser pointer for precise aiming.
VCC: Connect to 3.3V or 5V.
GND: Connect to Common Ground.
SDA: I2C Data (A4 on Arduino / GPIO 21 on ESP32).
SCL: I2C Clock (A5 on Arduino / GPIO 22 on ESP32).
⚠️ Pro Tip: For the DCI version, ensure there are no obstructions within a 5-degree cone of the sensor face to avoid measuring the temperature of the sensor's own housing or mount.
