The Classic 250mm H-Frame Advantage In a world obsessed with ultra-compact, cramped X-frames, the QAV250's traditional "H-Frame" geometry is a breath of fresh air. A 250mm wheelbase (measuring diagonally from motor center to motor center) is the absolute perfect dimension for spinning highly aggressive 5-inch propellers. The elongated central body provides massive amounts of deck space. You can easily mount your flight controller, a standalone ESC, a bulky video transmitter, and your radio receiver without ever having to cram or crush your silicone wiring.
Rigid Full Carbon Fiber Construction Durability is the primary metric of a good freestyle frame. This frame is CNC-machined from stiff, high-quality carbon fiber plates. The bottom plate utilizes a unibody design (the arms and the lower main body are a single, continuous piece of carbon), which drastically reduces weight while providing immense structural rigidity against twisting forces. The top and bottom plates are locked together using thick, red-anodized aluminum standoffs, creating an incredibly tough central roll cage for your expensive electronics.
Upgraded Low-Profile Foam Landing Pads Forget the brittle plastic or carbon fiber triangle feet! Hard, rigid landing gear on an FPV drone usually acts as a lever during a crash, snapping off and occasionally tearing the carbon fiber with it. We have upgraded the landing system on this kit. You will receive four high-density, 11mm thick oval foam pads with heavy-duty adhesive backing. Simply stick these directly underneath the motor mounts. They absorb the shock of hard concrete landings, prevent the drone from skidding on smooth surfaces, and shave unnecessary grams off your total build weight.

Q: What does a 250mm wheelbase mean? A: Wheelbase is the exact diagonal distance measured from the center of the front-left motor shaft to the center of the rear-right motor shaft. 250mm is the classic size for 5-inch drones.
Q: What size propellers fit this frame? A: This frame is optimized to perfectly clear up to 5.0-inch propellers.
Q: Does it come with the triangle landing feet shown in some older generic diagrams? A: No. We have upgraded the landing gear. You will receive four 11mm oval foam pads instead. They are lighter, absorb impact better, and won't snap on hard landings.
Q: How do I install the foam landing pads? A: Clean the bottom of the arms (directly under where the motors mount) with rubbing alcohol. Peel the adhesive backing off the foam pads and press them firmly onto the carbon fiber.
Q: What size flight controller can I mount in this? A: The central bay features pre-drilled holes for the industry-standard 30.5mm x 30.5mm flight controller and ESC stacks.
Q: What motors should I use? A: The arm mounting slots are compatible with standard 16x16mm to 19x19mm patterns. 2204, 2205, 2206, or 2207 size brushless motors are highly recommended.
Q: How much does the bare frame weigh? A: Fully assembled with hardware, the bare frame weighs 132 grams.
Q: Is this an X-frame or an H-frame? A: This is an H-frame. While X-frames have the arms meeting at a tiny central point, an H-frame has an elongated main body, giving you vastly more room to mount components.
