Take BIOS-level remote control of any server! The Sipeed NanoKVM Full Package features 1080p60 video capture, simulated HID keyboard/mouse, virtual USB media, ATX power control (KVMB), and a built-in OLED display housed in an ultra-compact white enclosure.
Ultra-Compact BIOS-Level Control Software-based remote desktop tools are great, until your server blue-screens or loses network connectivity. The Sipeed NanoKVM provides true hardware-level remote access. By connecting to your host machine's HDMI port and USB ports, it captures the raw video output and emulates a physical keyboard and mouse. Because it operates entirely independently of the host's operating system, you can access the BIOS, watch the system POST, and diagnose kernel panics from a web browser anywhere in the world!
High-Performance Video and Virtual Media Powered by the LicheeRV Nano (SG2002 RISC-V SoC), the NanoKVM effortlessly captures HDMI video at up to 1080p @ 60fps, utilizing MJPEG or H.264 encoding for low-latency transmission (90-230ms) over its 100M Ethernet port. Beyond basic keyboard and mouse emulation, it acts as a virtual USB drive. A pre-installed 32GB MicroSD card provides ample space for you to upload ISO images (like Windows, Linux, or diagnostic tools) via the web interface. The NanoKVM mounts these images to the host PC as a virtual CD-ROM, allowing you to remotely format drives and install fresh operating systems from scratch.
The "FULL Package" ATX and OLED Upgrades The Full Package sets itself apart with a sleek, 40x36x36mm white enclosure that houses a 0.96-inch 128x64 OLED display. This screen instantly shows the device's IP address, video resolution, framerate, and CPU usage, eliminating the need to hunt through your router's DHCP tables. Crucially, this kit includes the dedicated KVMB ATX control board and jumper wires. By wiring this board into your PC's motherboard front-panel headers, you can remotely trigger hard power-ons, graceful shutdowns, and forced resets directly from the KVM web interface!

Key Applications and Projects
Homelab Management: Managing a rack of headless mini-PCs or Raspberry Pis without needing to drag a physical monitor and keyboard into your server closet.
Remote IT Operations: Mailing a pre-configured NanoKVM to a branch office to perform bare-metal OS reinstalls on downed equipment without a technician on-site.
Crypto Mining & Rendering Rigs: Safely hard-resetting frozen high-performance computing rigs using the KVMB ATX power control feature.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution) The Ultimate Tailscale Crash-Cart: Don't expose your servers to the open internet! The NanoKVM natively supports Tailscale VPN. By logging the NanoKVM into your Tailscale tailnet, you create a highly secure, encrypted tunnel directly to the KVM's web interface. You can leave the NanoKVM permanently wired to your home router and PC. Whether you are at a coffee shop or across the globe, you can securely open your laptop, access the KVM's private 100.x.x.x IP address, turn on your powered-off PC via the KVMB integration, do your work, and gracefully shut it back down!

1. What is an IP-KVM? An IP-KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) captures a computer's video output and allows you to control its keyboard and mouse over a network interface remotely.
2. What is the maximum resolution the NanoKVM supports? It supports capturing HDMI video at resolutions up to 1080P at 60 frames per second.
3. Does this device require software to be installed on the host PC? No, it relies entirely on hardware. The host PC simply sees standard USB keyboards/mice and an HDMI monitor, allowing for BIOS-level access.
4. How is the NanoKVM powered? It is primarily powered by the "PC-USB" Type-C port connected to the host. If the host is powered off, you can provide auxiliary power via the dedicated "AUX-Power" Type-C port using a standard 5V adapter.
5. What is the KVMB board included in this kit? The KVMB is an ATX power control breakout board. When wired to your motherboard, it allows the NanoKVM to simulate physical presses of the host machine's power and reset buttons.
6. What does the OLED screen display? The 0.96-inch OLED displays vital information including the local IP address, current video resolution, framerate, and KVM CPU usage.
7. Can I turn off the OLED screen to prevent burn-in? Yes, pressing the physical "BOOT/RESET" button on top of the unit will toggle the OLED display on and off.
8. How do I turn on a computer that is completely powered off? By using the included KVMB board wired to your motherboard's front panel headers, the NanoKVM can bridge the power pins remotely, turning the PC on.
9. What does the ATX-Power Type-C port on the back do? This port is used to connect the NanoKVM to the external KVMB adapter board via a USB-C cable, transmitting the power and reset signals.
10. Can I install an operating system remotely? Yes! You can upload an ISO file (like a Windows or Ubuntu installer) to the KVM's web interface. It will mount the ISO to the host computer as a bootable USB flash drive.
11. How much storage is available for ISO images? The Full Package includes a pre-installed 32GB MicroSD card. The virtual USB drive partition offers approximately 21GB of usable space for storing multiple ISOs simultaneously.
12. Does the NanoKVM support Wi-Fi? No, this standard NanoKVM Full model relies on a physical 100M/10M Ethernet connection for maximum stability and low latency.
13. What processor is inside the NanoKVM? It is powered by the Sipeed LicheeRV Nano, featuring a highly efficient RISC-V SG2002 processor.
14. What is the default login for the web interface? The default initial account username is admin, and the password is admin. You should change this immediately upon first login.
15. What is the default login for the web terminal/SSH? The root terminal login is username root and password root.
16. Can I access the NanoKVM from outside my home network? Yes, the NanoKVM natively supports Tailscale. Once configured, you can access it securely from anywhere without opening ports on your router.
17. What are the two LEDs on the top for? The blue "5V" LED indicates that the KVM is receiving power. The green "PWR" LED syncs with the host computer's motherboard, showing if the host PC is currently powered on or off.
18. What video encodings does it support? The NanoKVM supports both MJPEG (higher bandwidth, predictable latency) and H.264 (lower bandwidth) video encoding formats.
19. Does this support audio transmission? No, the standard SG2002 NanoKVM captures video and emulates USB devices, but does not support HDMI audio transmission.
20. What is the "Reserved Serial Interface" on the back? This RJ45-style port exposes serial connections intended for IPMI use or interfacing with other development boards via a web-based serial terminal.
