The SN65HVD230 CAN Bus Transceiver is the native 3.3V solution your modern development environment needs. Designed to operate directly at the logic levels of contemporary microcontrollers, it provides a seamless, high-speed bridge to the Controller Area Network (CAN) without the need for additional voltage conversion.
In industrial and automotive environments, signal integrity is everything. Our modules are Probots Lab Verified, having undergone stress testing to ensure they meet the full 1Mbps baud rate specification without packet loss. We’ve optimised the PCB layout to be Probots Logic-Safe, incorporating ESD protection that shields your sensitive ESP32 or STM32 chips from common bus transients. By sourcing high-grade Texas Instruments-based silicon, we ensure this module provides significantly better electromagnetic immunity than generic clones.

Feature Upgrade: This module unlocks Differential Signalling. Unlike single-ended protocols, the SN65HVD230 uses two wires to cancel out noise, allowing your project to survive in high-interference environments like engine bays or factory floors.
Effort/Requirements: Intermediate. You will need a CAN controller (most modern MCUs like ESP32 have one built in) and basic knowledge of the CAN protocol stack.
⚠️ Critical Wiring Note: Ensure you have a 120-ohm termination resistor at both ends of your CAN bus. Many of these modules include a built-in resistor; if you have more than two nodes, you may need to desolder the resistors on the "middle" nodes.
