Build portable IoT devices effortlessly! This board integrates a powerful ESP32-WROOM-32 module, a crisp 128x64 OLED display, and a 3.7V lithium battery connector into a single, breadboard-friendly package.
All-In-One IoT Command Center Eliminate the mess of jumper wires when building display-based projects. This development board (model HW-454B) features a powerful ESP32-WROOM-32 module soldered directly alongside a 0.96-inch OLED screen. This seamless integration provides instant visual feedback for your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth projects, allowing you to display IP addresses, sensor readings, or custom menus without taking up valuable external breadboard space.
Crisp 0.96-Inch OLED Display The onboard display utilizes the widely supported SSD1306 driver architecture. It features a sharp 128x64 resolution, offering high contrast and excellent readability. The screen is hardwired to the ESP32's I2C bus with a default I2C address of 0x3C. The internal routing maps the SDA line to GPIO21 and the SCL line to GPIO22, making it incredibly easy to configure in your code.
Designed for Portability Unlike standard development boards that rely entirely on USB power, this module is built for mobility. The back of the PCB features a dedicated 3.7V Lithium Battery Interface using a compact 1.25mm 2-pin JST connector. This allows you to power the ESP32 and the OLED screen from a single LiPo cell, making it perfect for wearable tech, remote weather monitors, or handheld gaming emulators.
Specifications
Microcontroller: ESP32-WROOM-32 (Wi-Fi & Bluetooth)
Display: 0.96-inch OLED (128x64 Resolution)
Display Driver: SSD1306
I2C Mapping: SDA = GPIO21, SCL = GPIO22 (Address: 0x3C)
USB-to-Serial Chip: CH340C
USB Interface: Micro USB
Battery Interface: 3.7V Lithium Battery Port (1.25mm Pitch)
Dimensions: 64.8mm (L) x 28.6mm (W)
Key Applications and Projects
Desktop Crypto Ticker: Connect the board to your Wi-Fi network and fetch real-time API data to display live cryptocurrency or stock market prices right on your desk.
Portable Environmental Monitor: Attach an external BME280 temperature and humidity sensor via the remaining GPIO pins and power the board via a LiPo battery for a handheld weather station.
Smart Network Scanner: Program the ESP32 to scan for local Wi-Fi networks or Bluetooth LE beacons and output the signal strengths (RSSI) graphically onto the OLED screen.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution) The Custom Smartwatch Node: Take advantage of the board's integrated display, battery connector, and capacitive touch pins! The ESP32 pinout provides several RTCIO pins capable of detecting capacitive touch. You can design a 3D-printed watch casing for the 64.8mm x 28.6mm board, hook up a tiny LiPo battery, and use conductive copper tape on the housing wired to the touch pins. You have just built a custom smartwatch with touch-based menu navigation and a bright OLED interface!
