Read Article →The TFA300-L can measure obstacle distances up to 290m at 10mm resolution. It supports dual communication protocol via UART and CAN, making integration with a microcontroller/PLC and Computers easy. It is suitable for Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, UAVS, perimeter detection, and all general-purpose obstacle avoidance applications.
The TFA300-L features a high frequency of up to 10,000 Hz. In applications such as electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) Gimbals, SAR (search and rescue) Drones, and Ultra-High-Speed FPV racing Drones, the TFA300-L facilitates camera focal distance auto-adjustment, precise localisation, stable altitude maintenance during cruise, and obstacle avoidance during high-speed flight.
The TFA300-L defaults to 1 ~ 1,000Hz and can be adjusted to 10,000 Hz under ultra-high-frequency working mode. It collects data 10,000 times per second, detecting objects at Mach 1 with real-time distance updates every 3.4 cm. This allows faster obstacle detection and distance updates, giving drones more time to react. The TFA300-L uses industry-standard JST GH connectors for direct connection to the flight control platform without adapters. It features a CAN interface for next-gen flight control architectures. An SDK supporting the Drone can protocol offers plug-and-play compatibility with mainstream flight controllers, significantly reducing development time and deployment costs.
TFA300-L is fully optimised for complex drone applications, including operation under extreme temperatures, 100 KLux ambient light, and harsh outdoor conditions such as rain, fog, and dust. It effectively resolves frequent false detection issues common in conventional Lidar systems.

The sensor can detect points up to 290m with an accuracy of 100mm and has a narrow FoV < 0.5°
