ACEBOTT QD004 Tank Track Pack Smart Car Expansion DIY Kit For QD001 ₹2,799.00 Rugged, Enclosed Design When dealing with large-scale vibrations, exposed moving parts are a severe hazard. The 2838 Vibration Motor completely encloses its high-speed DC motor and eccentric counterweights inside a thick, impact-resistant black plastic shell. This ensures that wires, fabric, or debris cannot jam the mechanism. The underside of the housing is heavily ribbed to provide rigid structural support, ensuring the intense vibrations are transferred directly into your mounting surface without shattering the plastic casing.
High-Speed 12V Power Operating on a standard 12V DC system, this motor achieves a blistering 4300 Revolutions Per Minute (RPM). This specific frequency creates an aggressive, high-energy buzzing/shaking action. Furthermore, wiring is incredibly safe and simple; the motor features a long, thick power cable terminating in a standard female DC barrel jack. The wire exit point is secured with a white zip-tie mechanism acting as robust strain relief.
Flanged Mounting System To harness 4300 RPM of shaking force, secure mounting is critical. The base of the enclosure measures 93mm x 64mm and features four pre-molded, slotted mounting holes. This allows you to bolt the unit flush against plywood, metal framing, or 3D-printed chassis parts with ease.
Model: 2838 Vibration Motor
Operating Voltage: 12V DC
Speed: 4300 RPM
Enclosure Type: Fully enclosed plastic housing
Overall Length: 93mm
Overall Width: 64mm
Overall Height: 33.5mm
Mounting Hole Spacing (L x W): 83mm x 56.2mm (Center-to-Center)
Base Plate Thickness: 7.9mm
Connection: Female DC Barrel Jack
Strain Relief: Mechanical white zip-tie lock at housing exit
Sim Racing & Flight Sims: Bolting one (or several) of these under your gaming chair or directly to your pedal deck to provide massive tactile feedback (rumble) when you hit curbs or lock your brakes in-game.
DIY Vibrating Sieves / Hoppers: Mounting the motor to the side of a wooden compost sifter or a 3D-printer filament hopper to prevent clumping and keep materials flowing smoothly.
Custom Massage Furniture: Upgrading old recliners or building custom physical therapy cushions that require deep, penetrating, high-RPM vibration.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution)
The Smart Sim-Racing Rumble Pedal: Evolve your racing simulator! Bolt the 2838 motor directly to the back of your brake pedal assembly. Instead of plugging it directly into the wall, run it through an Arduino equipped with a high-power MOSFET. By linking the Arduino to telemetry software like SimHub, you can program this motor to trigger only when your virtual car's ABS activates, sending a harsh, realistic 4300 RPM shudder straight through your foot!
Package Includes:
1 x 2838 Enclosed Vibration Motor (12V, 4300 RPM) with Pre-Wired DC Jack

What is the operating voltage? This motor requires a 12V DC power supply to operate at its full 4300 RPM rating.
How do I plug it in? The motor features a standard female DC barrel jack connector on the end of its cable. You simply plug a matching 12V wall adapter directly into it.
What size is the DC barrel jack? It utilizes the industry-standard 5.5mm x 2.1mm format.
Can I control the intensity of the vibration? Yes. By placing a standard inline 12V PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) LED dimmer or motor speed controller between your power supply and the motor, you can smoothly dial the RPM (and vibration intensity) up or down.
Is this motor waterproof? No. While the top shell is solid, the underside features a separate ribbed base plate. Water can easily seep into the seams and destroy the internal DC motor. It is for dry/indoor use only.
What are the exact dimensions of the base? The rectangular base footprint measures 93mm long by 64mm wide.
How tall is the unit? From the bottom of the base to the top of the cylindrical motor housing, it is 33.5mm tall.
What is the distance between the mounting holes? The holes are spaced 83mm apart lengthwise and 56.2mm apart widthwise (measuring from the centers of the slots).
What size screws do I need to mount it? The slotted holes will comfortably accept M4 or M5 (or #8 / #10 standard) bolts or wood screws.
What is the white plastic piece on the wire? That is a mechanical zip-tie serving as a strain relief. It prevents the power cable from being ripped out of the internal motor contacts if the wire is accidentally yanked.
Are the internal moving parts exposed? No, the internal rotating mass is completely sealed within the plastic shell, keeping it safe from fingers and preventing it from snagging on your project enclosures.
Can I run this on 5V USB power? No, 5V is too low. The motor may not even spin, and if it does, the vibration will be incredibly weak.
Can I run it on a 12V car battery? Yes! A 12V automotive, SLA, or marine battery is a perfect power source for this motor.
Will this work as a "Bass Shaker" for a home theater? It works differently. Audio bass shakers (tactile transducers) react to varying audio frequencies. This 2838 motor is an ERM (spinning weight) motor; it provides a constant, heavy mechanical shake. It is great for rumble effects, but it will not reproduce audio frequencies.
Does the motor get hot during extended use? Yes, running any high-speed DC motor continuously for long periods will generate heat inside the plastic shell. It is best used for intermittent pulses or run at a lower voltage via a PWM controller for marathon sessions.
Why is the bottom of the motor ribbed? The grid-like plastic ribs on the bottom plate provide structural rigidity. Without them, the 4300 RPM shaking force could easily flex and crack the plastic base plate over time.
Can I remove the top cover? It is not recommended. The enclosure is tightly assembled (often ultrasonically welded or glued) to prevent rattling. Forcing it open will likely destroy the housing.
Can I cut the DC jack off to bare wire it? Yes. If you prefer to wire it directly into a terminal block or a relay board, you can snip the DC barrel jack off and strip the internal positive and negative wires.
How much current (Amps) does it draw? While the exact stall current varies, you should use a 12V power supply rated for at least 1 Amp (preferably 2 Amps) to ensure the motor has enough juice to spin up its heavy internal weights without browning out.
Is it loud? Yes. A hard plastic shell vibrating at 4300 RPM bolted to a solid surface will resonate and create a loud, aggressive mechanical hum. Rubber isolation washers between the motor and your mounting surface can help deaden the audible noise while preserving the tactile feel.
