Supercharge your DIY electronics with the 603048 3.7V 850mAh LiPo battery. Measuring 48x30x6mm, it delivers an impressive 3.14Wh of energy. Features a built-in safety PCB to prevent overcharging and a 50mm open-ended cable for direct soldering.
Heavy-Duty IoT Power When your project graduates from simple blinking LEDs to heavy data transmission, you need a battery that won't give out after a few hours. The 603048P battery steps up with a massive 850mAh (3.14Wh) capacity. This energy density is ideal for demanding applications like long-range LoRaWAN communication, cellular GSM/LTE modules, and continuous GPS tracking. Despite the high capacity, the cell remains highly integrated, measuring just 48mm long, 30mm wide, and 6mm thick, making it easy to conceal within standard hobby project boxes.
Integrated BMS Protection Large lithium polymer cells require strict voltage monitoring to ensure safety. Safely tucked beneath the yellow Kapton tape at the top of the silver pouch is a miniaturized Protection Circuit Board (PCB). This built-in Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors the cell's state. It acts as a hard failsafe, automatically cutting the connection to your project if it detects an overcharge (above 4.2V), an over-discharge (dropping near 3.0V), or a dangerous external short-circuit.
Optimized for Efficiency The battery features a 50mm open-ended cable with bare red and black wires, allowing you to solder it directly to your custom PCB or crimp it to your exact connector requirements. To ensure you extract the absolute maximum 850mAh capacity and protect the battery's chemical lifespan, the manufacturer recommends an optimal discharge rate of 0.2C. For an 850mAh battery, 0.2C means you should aim for a continuous, steady current draw of roughly 170mA.
Safety Precautions :
Note: Product photos are for reference. Visual variations in printed branding may occur depending on current manufacturing stock, but the 850mAh capacity and physical footprint remain guaranteed

Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution)
The Cellular Asset Tracker: 850mAh gives you the headroom needed for cellular data bursts. Evolve your tracking project by pairing this battery with a SIM800L GSM module and a tiny NEO-6M GPS receiver. Because cellular modules can spike to over 1A to connect to a cell tower, the robust chemistry of the 850mAh cell can handle the draw without browning out the microcontroller. Program the board to sleep, wake up every 4 hours, grab GPS coordinates, and text the location to your phone—creating a discrete, long-lasting anti-theft tracker for your bicycle or motorcycle!
1 x 603048P 850mAh 3.7V Lithium Polymer Battery pack (with internal protection PCB and 50mm open-ended wire)
What does "603048" mean? It signifies the standard dimensions of the bare internal cell: approximately 6.0mm thick, 30mm wide, and 48mm long.
Why does the picture say "NovaPlus"? We source from top-tier manufacturers. While the photo shows NovaPlus branding, you may receive a generic cell with identical guaranteed specifications (850mAh, 603048 footprint) based on current stock.
What is the nominal voltage of this battery? The nominal (average operating) voltage is 3.7V.
What is the voltage when fully charged? A fully charged 1S LiPo battery will read exactly 4.2V on a multimeter.
Does this battery have built-in protection? Yes, a miniature protection PCB is hidden under the yellow Kapton tape at the top of the battery.
What does the protection circuit actually do? It protects the battery chemistry from catching fire due to overcharging, prevents permanent damage from over-discharging, and cuts power instantly if a short circuit occurs on your output wires.
Are the wires open-ended or do they have a plug? This battery ships with 50mm open-ended (bare) wire leads. It does not come with a pre-crimped plastic connector.
Which wire is positive? The red wire is Positive (+), and the black wire is Negative (-).
What does "discharge at 0.2C" mean? "C" represents the total capacity of the battery. 0.2C means 20% of 850mAh, which is 170 milliamps (170mA). To get the absolute maximum lifespan and extract the true 850mAh capacity out of this battery, your circuit should optimally draw around 170mA continuously.
Will it break if my project draws more than 170mA? No, 170mA is just the optimal rate. An 850mAh battery can easily handle much higher temporary bursts (like a cellular module transmitting data or a motor spinning), but pulling very heavy currents constantly will drain it faster and slightly reduce the overall efficiency.
Can I charge this with a standard TP4056 module? Yes! A standard TP4056 module pushes 1000mA (1A). For an 850mAh battery, 1A is roughly a 1.17C charge rate, which is very safe and perfectly acceptable for this size cell. It will fully recharge the battery in about an hour.
Can I wire this directly to a 5V USB cable to charge it? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Applying raw 5V directly to a LiPo battery will cause it to swell, vent toxic gas, and catch fire. You must use a dedicated Lithium-Ion charger IC.
Can I power a 5V Arduino Uno with this? A standard Arduino Uno expects 5V. This battery only outputs 3.7V. You would need a "Boost Converter" module to step the 3.7V up to 5V.
What microcontrollers work best with this? Low-power 3.3V boards like the ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi Zero W, and 3.3V Arduino Pro Minis are ideal companions.
How long are the wires? The flexible wire leads are approximately 50mm (about 2 inches) long.
Can I cut the wires to make them shorter? Yes. CRITICAL WARNING: Always cut the wires one at a time. Cutting both the red and black wires simultaneously with metal snips will short-circuit the battery!
Can I wire two of these in series to get 7.4V? It is highly discouraged to wire individual, internally protected LiPo cells in series. The two independent protection boards can conflict and cause charging and discharging failures.
Can I wire two in parallel to get 1700mAh (1.7Ah)? Yes, but only if both batteries are measured with a multimeter and are at the exact same voltage (e.g., both exactly 3.8V) before connecting them.
Why does my battery look puffy or swollen? LiPo batteries puff up when damaged, old, or severely over-discharged. If your battery swells like a balloon, stop using it immediately and safely recycle it.
How should I store this battery if I am not using it for a while? Never store LiPo batteries fully charged (4.2V) or fully dead (3.0V) for long periods. Store them at a "storage charge" of roughly 3.8V in a cool, dry, fire-safe location.
