RC Mini 4 Wheel Drive Robot Car with Wifi ESP32 Cam DIY Kit βΉ7,999.00 Massive 150W Suction Power When building a custom vacuum, standard PC cooling fans simply do not have the static pressure required to lift dirt and debris. This unit utilizes a powerful 150 Watt brushed DC motor. When paired with a 22.2V power source, the motor spins at extreme RPMs. This drives the attached impeller to create a massive low-pressure zone at the central intake, generating the high static pressure required for serious vacuuming and dust extraction.
Integrated Centrifugal Impeller The top half of this assembly houses a precision-balanced centrifugal impeller shielded by a metal and plastic casing. Unlike standard axial fans that push air straight back, a centrifugal fan pulls air directly into the center hole and flings it violently outward through the side exhaust vents. This specific aerodynamic design is the industry standard for stick vacuums and shop vacs because it resists stalling even when the intake is heavily restricted by a dirty filter.
Simple Brushed DC Control Many modern vacuum motors use complex brushless designs that require an expensive Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) to function. This motor embraces raw, rugged simplicity. It is a traditional Brushed DC Motor, meaning all you have to do is apply DC power to the two brass terminal tabs located at the rear. You can turn it on and off with a heavy-duty toggle switch, a relay, or smoothly dial the suction up and down using a standard high-current DC PWM motor controller.
Operating Voltage: 22.2V DC (Optimized for 6S LiPo batteries)
Power Rating: 150W
Current Draw: ~6.7 Amps to 7.5 Amps (Under load)
Motor Type: Brushed DC
Impeller Type: Centrifugal Vacuum Fan
Connections: Dual Brass Solder Tabs
Cooling: Air-through design with internal motor vents

DIY Cyclone Dust Extractors: Mounting this motor to the top of a 3D-printed cyclone separator attached to a 5-gallon bucket to suck up sawdust from your CNC router or woodworking tools.
Handheld Vacuum Repair: Serving as a drop-in replacement motor for many popular brands of 22V cordless stick vacuums and handheld dustbusters.
Combat Robotics / Hovercrafts: Utilizing the extreme suction to create a "downforce" vacuum, allowing a lightweight robot to stick to the floor for enhanced wheel traction during combat.

The Automated Smart Shop-Vac: Don't let sawdust ruin your lungs! Evolve your workshop. Build a custom enclosure for this 150W motor and hook it up to a cyclone dust bin. Power the motor using a 24V power supply and a heavy-duty relay. By wiring that relay to a current-sensing module on your power strip, your new DIY vacuum will automatically roar to life the exact second you turn on your table saw or sander, keeping your workspace perfectly clean without ever touching a switch!
1 x 150W 22.2V High Suction Micro Vacuum Brushed Motor

What is the operating voltage? It is rated natively for 22.2V DC, which is the nominal voltage of a standard 6-cell (6S) Lithium-Polymer battery.
Can I run this on a 12V car battery? You can, but it will spin at roughly half the speed, and the vacuum suction will be extremely weak. It is best used at 20V to 24V.
Can I run this on 24V? Yes, a 24V power supply is perfectly fine to use and will provide excellent suction, though the motor may run slightly warmer than at 22.2V.
How much power does it consume? It is rated for 150 Watts.
How many Amps does it draw? At 22.2V and 150W, the motor pulls approximately 6.7 Amps under continuous load. Your power supply or battery should be capable of delivering at least 10 Amps to safely handle the initial startup surge.
Is this a brushless motor? No, it is a traditional brushed DC motor.
Do I need an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) to run this? No. Because it is brushed, you only need to apply direct DC power to the two terminals to make it spin.
How do I connect wires to it? You must solder thick wires (we recommend 14 AWG or 16 AWG silicone wire) directly to the two brass terminal tabs located on the back of the motor.
Which terminal is positive? Usually, one terminal is marked with a red dot or a tiny "+" symbol. If you wire it backward, the motor will spin in reverse, and the suction will be terrible.
Where does the air go in? The air is sucked into the central opening on the top metal shroud.
Where does the air exhaust? The air is flung outward by the impeller and exhausts through the gaps around the perimeter of the plastic/metal housing.
Can I use this to pump water or liquids? NO. This is strictly an air vacuum motor. Pulling water into the impeller will force liquid directly into the brushed motor casing, instantly short-circuiting and destroying the motor.
Does it require a separate cooling fan? No, the immense volume of air moving through the impeller housing helps draw heat away from the motor body during operation.
Is it loud? Yes. Like all high-RPM centrifugal vacuum motors, it produces a very loud, high-pitched whine during operation.
Can I use a PWM speed controller with this? Yes, you can use a brushed DC PWM speed controller to dial the suction up and down, provided the controller is rated for at least 24V and 15 Amps.
Why is the suction poor even at 24V? You likely have the polarity reversed. Centrifugal fans are highly directional; if they spin backward, they move very little air. Swap your positive and negative wires.
What are the cutouts on the side of the silver motor can? Those are ventilation and inspection ports, allowing you to see the internal commutator and carbon brushes while allowing heat to escape.
Can I remove the metal impeller shield? It is highly discouraged. The metal shroud is press-fit and critical for directing airflow. Removing it can unbalance the impeller or completely ruin the vacuum effect.
How do I mount it? Makers typically 3D print a custom cylindrical housing with a rubber gasket that gently clamps around the outer rim of the plastic impeller base to hold it securely while maintaining an airtight seal.
Is this a replacement part for commercial vacuums? Yes, this specific 22.2V 150W form factor is used as the core suction motor in dozens of popular cordless stick vacuums and handheld dust extractors.
