This solid-state ultrasonic anemometer combined with a Stevenson screen delivers maintenance-free, highly accurate wind and environmental data with zero moving parts. Unlike standard hobby-grade weather kits that degrade after just a few months outdoors, this all-in-one station is built to Probots™ ProSpec Grade standards. Featuring a rugged, UV-resistant Stevenson screen and purely solid-state ultrasonic sensors, it guarantees consistent, drift-free environmental monitoring without the hassle of replacing worn-out bearings or broken cups. Because remote weather stations are difficult and costly to service, we ensure this unit is Probots™ LifeCycle Ready. Whether you are integrating it into an industrial PLC pipeline, a smart agriculture system, or a long-term smart city deployment, you can rely on this sensor for years of continuous, uninterrupted operation.

Minimum hardware to get started:

12V to 24V DC Power Supply : essential to power the internal ultrasonic transducers and environmental sensor suite, as a standard 5V USB connection cannot drive this industrial unit.
RS485 to USB Converter (or MAX485 module) : required to translate the industrial Modbus RTU signals from the sensor into logic-level UART data your PC, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi can process.
Industrial PLC, ESP32, or PC : to request data registers via the Modbus protocol and log the environmental readings.

Safety Warnings:

Voltage Mismatch: This is a 12V–24V DC industrial device. Do NOT attempt to power it from a 3.3V or 5V microcontroller pin, or the internal circuitry will fail to boot.
Logic Level Danger: Never wire the A and B RS485 lines directly to the RX/TX pins of an Arduino or ESP32. You must use a hardware RS485 transceiver (like a MAX485 module) to step down the voltages to safe logic levels, or you will instantly destroy your microcontroller.
Polarity: Ensure strict adherence to DC power polarity before powering on.
