Give your DIY electronics the runtime they deserve with the 603040 3.7V 600mAh LiPo battery. Measuring 42x30x5mm, it delivers 2.22Wh of energy. Features a built-in safety PCB to prevent overcharging and a 50mm open-ended cable for direct soldering.
Substantial Power, Slim Profile When your project involves power-hungry components like TFT displays, continuous Wi-Fi streams, or arrays of NeoPixel LEDs, you need a battery that can keep up. The 503040P battery delivers a robust 600mAh (2.22Wh) capacity. Despite this significant energy storage, it maintains a beautifully flat form factor, measuring just 42mm long, 30mm wide, and 5mm thick. It is perfectly sized to act as the internal battery for custom smartphones, DIY walkie-talkies, and handheld emulation consoles.
Integrated BMS Protection Safety is paramount when working with high-density lithium power. Tucked securely beneath the yellow Kapton tape at the top of the cell is a miniaturized Protection Circuit Board (PCB). This built-in Battery Management System (BMS) acts as an automatic safety guard. It will instantly cut the connection to your project if it detects an overcharge (protecting against fire hazards), an over-discharge (protecting the internal chemistry from degrading), or a dangerous short-circuit on your workbench.
Optimized for 0.2C Discharge The battery features a 50mm open-ended cable with bare red and black wires, allowing you to solder it directly to your circuit board or crimp it to your preferred connectors. To ensure you actually get the full 600mAh capacity out of the battery and maximize its overall lifecycle, the manufacturer recommends an optimal discharge rate of 0.2C. For this specific 600mAh battery, 0.2C means your circuit should ideally draw a continuous current of roughly 120mA.
Safety Precautions :
Note: Product photos are for reference. Visual variations in printed branding may occur depending on current manufacturing stock, but the 600mAh capacity and physical footprint remain guaranteed

DIY Retro Handhelds: Providing excellent runtime for custom Raspberry Pi Zero gaming emulators or ESP32-based "Tetris" consoles built into 3D-printed cases.
Smart Security Nodes: Powering a Wi-Fi camera module (like the ESP32-CAM) to take photos when motion is detected and upload them to a server.
Custom Robotics: Acting as the main logic power supply for robotic arms or the primary drive battery for small 2WD desktop rovers.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution)
The "Always On" Smart Display: 600mAh gives you a lot of breathing room! Evolve your project by building a custom desktop smart-display. Pair this battery with an ESP32, an e-Paper (e-Ink) display, and a TP4056 charging board. Because e-Paper displays only draw power when they are updating the screen, and the ESP32 can sleep between updates, you can program the screen to fetch the local weather and your daily calendar over Wi-Fi every morning. This 600mAh battery will run an optimized e-Paper dashboard for several months on a single charge!
1 x 503040P 600mAh 3.7V Lithium Polymer Battery pack (with internal protection PCB and 50mm open-ended wire)
What does "503040" mean? It signifies the standard dimensions of the bare internal cell: approximately 5.0mm thick, 30mm wide, and 40mm long. (The final length is roughly 42mm due to the folded protection board at the top).
What is the nominal voltage of this battery? The nominal (average operating) voltage is 3.7V.
What is the voltage when fully charged? A fully charged 1S LiPo battery will read exactly 4.2V on a multimeter.
Does this battery have built-in protection? Yes, there is a miniature protection PCB hidden under the yellow Kapton tape at the top of the battery.
What does the protection circuit actually do? It protects the battery chemistry from catching fire due to overcharging, prevents permanent damage from over-discharging, and cuts power instantly if a short circuit occurs on your output wires.
Are the wires open-ended or do they have a plug? This battery ships with 50mm open-ended (bare) wire leads. It does not come with a pre-crimped plastic connector.
Which wire is positive? The red wire is Positive (+), and the black wire is Negative (-).
What does "discharge at 0.2C" mean? "C" represents the total capacity of the battery. 0.2C means 20% of 600mAh, which is 120 milliamps (120mA). To get the absolute maximum lifespan and extract the true 600mAh capacity out of this battery, your circuit should optimally draw around 120mA continuously.
Will it break if my project draws more than 120mA? No. 120mA is the optimal rate for testing full capacity. A 600mAh battery can comfortably handle bursts of higher current (like a motor turning on or an ESP32 transmitting video), but pulling very heavy currents constantly will drain it faster and slightly reduce the overall capacity you get per charge.
Can I charge this with a standard TP4056 module? Yes! Standard TP4056 modules push 1000mA (1A). For a 600mAh battery, 1A is roughly a 1.6C charge rate. It will charge very quickly (in under an hour), though if you want to extend the battery's lifespan to the absolute maximum, you can modify the TP4056 programming resistor to output 500mA-600mA.
Can I wire this directly to a 5V USB cable to charge it? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Applying raw 5V directly to a LiPo battery will cause it to swell, vent toxic gas, and catch fire. You must use a dedicated Lithium-Ion charger IC.
Can I power a 5V Arduino Uno with this? A standard Arduino Uno expects 5V. This battery only outputs 3.7V. You would need a "Boost Converter" module to step the 3.7V up to 5V.
What microcontrollers work best with this? Low-power 3.3V boards like the ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi Zero, and 3.3V Arduino Pro Minis are ideal companions.
How long are the wires? The flexible wire leads are approximately 50mm (about 2 inches) long.
Can I cut the wires to make them shorter? Yes. CRITICAL WARNING: Always cut the wires one at a time. Cutting both the red and black wires simultaneously with metal snips will short-circuit the battery!
Can I wire two of these in series to get 7.4V? It is highly discouraged to wire individual, internally protected LiPo cells in series. The two independent protection boards can conflict and cause charging and discharging failures.
Can I wire two in parallel to get 1200mAh (1.2Ah)? Yes, but only if both batteries are measured with a multimeter and are at the exact same voltage (e.g., both exactly 3.8V) before connecting them.
Is this battery waterproof? No. The silver foil pouch is sealed, but the top circuit board and the wire connections are fully exposed to the elements.
Why does my battery look puffy or swollen? LiPo batteries puff up when damaged, old, or severely over-discharged. If your battery swells like a balloon, stop using it immediately and safely recycle it.
How should I store this battery if I am not using it for a while? Never store LiPo batteries fully charged (4.2V) or fully dead (3.0V) for long periods. Store them at a "storage charge" of roughly 3.8V in a cool, dry, fire-safe location.
