Ditch the stripping plastic horns! This 25T circular metal servo horn is machined from premium aluminum and provides a rock-solid, non-slip foundation for connecting servos to robotic joints and structural brackets.
The Metal Spline Advantage High-torque servos (like the 11kg.cm MG996R) generate massive rotational force. When you use the white plastic cross-horns that come included in the servo box, that force is localized on soft plastic teeth. Under heavy loads, the servo's metal output shaft will simply carve the plastic teeth out, causing the arm to slip and fall dead. This circular horn is CNC machined from rigid aluminum. The 25 internal metal teeth perfectly interlock with the servo's output gear, ensuring 100% of your motor's torque is safely transferred to your mechanical linkages without any fear of stripping.
Perfect Structural Integration This circular horn is not just an arm; it is a foundational building block for multi-axis robotics. The face of the disc features four M3 threaded holes perfectly spaced on a 14mm pitch circle. This exact spacing is the universal standard for robotic chassis hardware. It allows you to bolt this disc directly onto metal L-brackets and U-brackets, creating complex shoulder, elbow, and hip joints for custom robotic arms and bipedal walkers.
Low Profile Design Measuring only 4.5mm in total thickness, this horn keeps your structural brackets as close to the servo body as possible. This minimizes the "lever arm" effect, reducing stress on the internal bearings of your servo and extending the lifespan of your expensive motors.

Key Applications and Projects
Heavy-Duty Robotic Arms: Bolting structural U-brackets to the shoulder and elbow servos to lift heavy payloads without the joints sagging or slipping.
Hexapod Locomotion: Creating rigid, slop-free "coxa" (hip) joints required for large, multi-legged walking robots to maintain their balance.
Custom Steering Racks: Building high-torque Ackermann steering mechanisms for large 1/10th or 1/8th scale RC rovers and rock crawlers.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution) The Bulletproof Pan-Tilt Gimbal: Are you building a tracking camera or an automated nerf turret? If you mount a heavy camera to a plastic servo horn, the video feed will shake violently every time the servo moves because the plastic acts like a spring. Evolve your build! Use this solid aluminum 25T disc to attach your camera's panning base directly to the servo. The immense rigidity of the metal entirely eliminates the "spring" effect, resulting in perfectly smooth, instantaneous targeting and jitter-free video.
1 x 25T Circular Aluminum Servo Horn
4 x M3 Machine Screws

1. What does "25T" mean? "25T" stands for 25 Teeth. It refers to the exact number of tiny ridges (the spline) on the inside of the horn that mate with the output shaft of the servo.
2. Will this fit an MG996R or MG995 servo? Yes, absolutely. The MG996R, MG995, and nearly all TowerPro standard-sized servos utilize a 25T spline, making this a perfect fit.
3. Will this fit an SG90 or MG90S micro servo? No. Micro servos have a much smaller output shaft and use a 20T or 21T micro spline. This horn is far too large for them.
4. What is the outer diameter of the disc? The circular disc measures exactly 20mm in diameter.
5. What size are the four mounting holes? The four mounting holes on the face of the disc are tapped with M3 (Metric 3mm) threads.
6. Do I need to use nuts to secure screws to this horn? No. Because the holes are threaded (tapped), you simply screw your M3 bolts directly into the aluminum plate.
7. How far apart are the mounting holes? The holes are positioned on a 14mm pitch circle. This means the diagonal distance from the center of one hole to the center of the opposite hole is 14mm.
8. What material is this made from? It is CNC machined from a high-strength aluminum alloy, ensuring it will not warp or strip under heavy torque.
9. Does it come with the center screw to attach it to the servo? No. You must use the primary center mounting screw that came originally packaged with your servo. This kit only includes the four outer M3 mounting screws.
10. Will this fit a Futaba servo? Yes, Futaba standard servos universally utilize the 25T spline standard.
11. Will this fit a Hitec servo? Usually, no. Most standard Hitec servos utilize a 24T (24 Tooth) spline. Attempting to force a 25T horn onto a 24T servo will permanently ruin the servo's output shaft. Always verify your servo's spline count.
12. How thick is the complete part? From the bottom of the raised center boss to the flat top of the disc, it measures 4.5mm thick.
13. Can I use this with L-shaped and U-shaped metal robotic brackets? Yes! This horn is specifically designed as the interlocking hardware to bolt servos to standard robotic frame brackets.
14. Do I need to lubricate the spline before attaching it? No, metal servo horns should be installed dry to ensure maximum friction and grip on the servo shaft.
15. My horn is stuck on the servo and won't come off, what do I do? Metal-on-metal splines can occasionally bind tightly. Remove the center screw, then gently wiggle the disc back and forth while pulling straight up. Do not aggressively pry it from one side with a screwdriver, as you may bend the servo's internal gear shaft.
16. Can I use a longer screw than the ones provided? You can, but be extremely careful. If you use an M3 screw that is too long, it will protrude entirely through the disc and violently scrape against the plastic top casing of your servo as it spins.
17. Will this fit a continuous rotation (360-degree) servo? Yes, as long as the continuous rotation servo is a standard size with a 25T spline, this horn will fit and function perfectly to attach wheels or pulleys.
18. Why is there a raised cylinder (boss) in the center? The raised boss provides extra depth for the internal 25T spline, ensuring maximum surface area contact with the servo shaft so it doesn't wobble.
19. Can I drill my own custom holes into the disc? Yes, because it is made of standard aluminum, you can easily drill custom holes through the 2mm flat section if your project requires a non-standard mounting pattern.
20. Is the metal magnetic? No, aluminum is a non-ferrous metal and is not magnetic, which prevents it from interfering with nearby compass sensors or magnetometers on your robot.
