The essential "Swiss Army Knife" for RC builds. Instantly test and centre up to 3 servos simultaneously or calibrate brushless ESCs without a radio receiver. Features include Manual, Neutral, and Auto-Sweep modes.
Quick Introduction: Stop guessing where "centre" is before installing your servo horns! The CCPM Servo Tester is a mandatory tool for any RC hobbyist or robotics builder. Instead of setting up your entire radio transmitter and receiver just to centre a servo, this pocket-sized device generates precise PWM signals to test the range of motion, detect jitter, and set the perfect neutral point in seconds. It also doubles as a Digital ESC Checker, allowing you to spin up brushless motors and calibrate throttle ranges safely on the bench.
Detailed Specifications
Input Voltage: DC 4.8V – 6.0V (Strict Limit)
Output Channels: 3 Synchronised Ports (Test 3 servos at once)
Output Signal: 1.5ms ± 0.5ms (Standard PWM)
Output Current: 15mA (5.0V)
Operational Modes: 1. Manual: Turn the knob to sweep the full range. 2. Neutral: Locks to precise centre (1500µs). 3. Auto: Continuously sweeps back and forth ("Window Wiper" mode).
Dimensions: 48mm x 42mm x 17mm
Weight: 8g
Quality Advantage & Differentiation: Why add this to your flight box?
3-Channel Synchronisation: Unlike basic testers, this unit drives 3 servos simultaneously, making it perfect for swashplate levelling on helicopters or testing dual-aileron setups on planes to ensure they move in perfect unison.
ESC Calibration Mode: It acts as a manual throttle controller. Connect your ESC to the output, and use the knob to simulate 0-100% throttle—ideal for testing motor direction without risking a prop strike from a live radio system.
Vibration Testing: The "Auto" window wiper mode stresses the servo gears continuously, helping you identify stripped gears or overheating issues before you launch your expensive model.
Key Applications & Usage
Servo Centring: Set the device to "Neutral" (centre LED) to install servo horns at exactly 90 degrees during assembly.
Robotics Tuning: Verify the full range of motion for robotic arms and grippers without writing a single line of Arduino code.
Thrust Testing: Use it as a manual throttle knob for bench-testing brushless motors and propellers.
What's Included & Required
Included: 1x 3-Channel Servo/ESC Tester.
Required: External Power Source (4.8V-6V Battery Pack or BEC). Note: If testing an ESC with a built-in BEC, no external battery is needed.
The "Virtual Technician" Support Panel
⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING:
Input Voltage: The input limit is 6.0V MAX. DO NOT plug a 2S LiPo (7.4V) or 9V battery directly into the "IN" port. Doing so will instantly burn out the internal logic chip and potentially damage connected servos. Use a 4xAA pack or a 5V BEC.
ESC Connection: When testing an ESC, plug the ESC into the OUT side (not IN). The ESC's internal BEC will back-power the tester. Do not connect a separate battery to the "IN" port while an ESC is connected, or you risk voltage conflict.
Pinout Reference (MANDATORY):
Left Side (Input - Power):
Top Pin (S): Signal (Not used for power input)
Middle Pin (+): Positive (4.8V - 6V)
Bottom Pin (-): Negative (Ground)
Right Side (Output - Servos/ESC):
Top Pin (S): Signal Output (White/Orange Wire)
Middle Pin (+): Positive Output (Red Wire)
Bottom Pin (-): Ground Output (Black/Brown Wire)
Troubleshooting: Servos jittering? This often happens if the input power is too low (weak batteries) or if you are using a "Digital" servo on a tester designed for Analogue frame rates. Try fresh batteries first.
Call to Action (CTA) Don't build blind. Add the CCPM Servo Tester to your cart today and ensure every linkage is perfect before your first flight!
