5M EL Wire Neon Light Flexible Rope Tube - Blue (Waterproof) ₹299.00
5M EL Wire Neon Light Flexible Rope Tube - White (Waterproof) ₹299.00 If you want maximum visibility, Green is the undisputed king of EL wire colors. Due to the biology of the human eye, this 1M Flexible EL Wire Neon Light (Green) appears significantly brighter than red or blue alternatives, emitting an intense, radioactive-lime glow. This makes it the top choice for high-impact applications—from creating the iconic "digital rain" aesthetic of The Matrix or the toxic veins of a bio-hazard zombie costume, to adding high-visibility safety outlines on night-running gear. The 1-meter length provides just enough material for these precise accents without the bulk and tangle of longer 5-meter coils.
The Probots Quality Advantage: High-Efficiency Phosphors Green is the "native" color of most electroluminescent phosphors, meaning this wire requires less filtering than other colors to achieve its hue. We stock Probots™ ProSpec Grade wire, which utilizes this natural efficiency to produce a stable, high-contrast light that cuts through the darkness better than any other shade. This 1-meter strand is built with the same industrial durability as our heavy-duty rolls, featuring a high-tensile internal copper core protected by a flexible PVC jacket that diffuses the light 360 degrees, creating a solid neon tube effect without the fragility of glass.
Seamless Integration with the Tech-Bridge Ecosystem Whether you are modding a PC case or building a rave mask, wiring should be the easy part. This 1M wire comes pre-terminated with a standard Probots™ Tech-Bridge JST-SM connector. It snaps instantly into our compatible Coin Cell (CR2032), 2xAA, or USB Inverters. This modular design allows you to swap colors in seconds—unplug the Green, plug in a Red—without stripping a single wire or soldering connections. It is the ultimate "Plug-and-Play" solution for dynamic creators who need professional results without electrical engineering skills.
Flexible "Cold Light" for Wearables EL wire is unique because it is a "cold light" source; it generates virtually no heat, even after hours of operation. This makes it the only safe choice for applications near the skin, such as weaving into hair accessories, gluing onto a jacket collar, or taping inside a helmet. Its flexibility allows you to wrap it around complex shapes—like the frame of a drone or the handlebars of a bicycle—where rigid LED strips would snap or fail. If the 1-meter length is still slightly too long, you can cut it with scissors and seal the end with hot glue, giving you total custom control.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does this 1M wire come with a battery pack?
No, this is the wire only. You must buy a driver/inverter separately.
Is 1 Meter long enough for a mask?
Yes, 1M is usually enough to outline the eyes and jawline of a standard face mask.
Can I power this with a coin cell battery?
Yes! We sell "Coin Cell Inverters" which are tiny and perfect for hiding inside a helmet.
Is Green the brightest color?
Yes. The human eye is most sensitive to green light, so Green EL wire generally appears brighter than Red, Blue, or Purple EL wire.
Can I cut it to 50cm?
Yes. You can cut it anywhere. The leftover 50cm can be used if you solder a new connector to it.
Does it get hot against my face?
No. EL wire is a "cold light" source and is safe to wear directly against skin.
Is it waterproof?
The wire is waterproof, but the connector is not. If using it on rain gear, wrap the connection in electrical tape.
Can I bend it into sharp corners?
Yes, it is very flexible. Avoid repeatedly bending it back and forth at the same spot to prevent metal fatigue.
What is the diameter?
It is 2.3mm thick.
Why does the inverter make a noise?
The inverter vibrates at high frequency to generate the AC voltage. This faint whine is normal.
Can I use a 5M inverter for this 1M wire?
Yes, but the wire might glow too brightly and shorten its lifespan slightly because the inverter is overpowering it. A smaller inverter is better.
Does it look blueish?
Our White EL wire is a cool white. When unlit, the outer jacket may appear slightly pink or peach-colored; this is normal for the phosphor chemistry to produce white light when lit.
How do I attach it to a helmet?
Use clear superglue (Cyanoacrylate) or clear double-sided tape.
Can I connect two 1M wires to one inverter?
Yes, if you use a "2-way splitter cable" and the inverter is strong enough (e.g., a 2xAA inverter).
Is it safe for kids?
Yes, provided the battery pack is secured. The voltage is high but the current is very low and non-lethal.
Does it fade over time?
EL wire slowly dims over its life (12,000 hours).
Can I run it from USB?
Yes, use our USB EL Inverter.
Is the light solid or dotted?
It is a solid, continuous line of light.
Can I sew it?
Yes, you can stitch over it with clear fishing line. Do not pierce the wire itself.
What happens if I pierce the wire?
You will break the internal circuit and the wire will stop glowing from that point onwards.
