These hot plates are used to attain uniform higher temperatures across PCB boards via direct contact conduction, and are suitable for hand assembly stations, for faster thermal response attaining quick reflow ideal soldering heat-sensitive components.

The UYUE 946-1010 preheating Desoldering Station provides a suitable and low-cost method to assist when soldering or de-soldering various SMT devices while doing board rework or fabrication when working with BGA, SOIC, QFP, PLCC style surface mount devices. 
This model is integrated with an Aluminium heating plate with a 100X100mm heating area along with a PID temperature control circuit to maintain a stable temperature. The program cycles every 20 milliseconds to detect the actual temperature at the heating element allowing for quick recovery to the set temperature. Easy to operate with a simple front panel LED temperature display.The slow ramp and preheating phase help to activate flux, prevent thermal shock, and improve solder joint quality.

Precautions when operating hot plates:

  • Mandate hand gloves to avoid accidental skin contacts
  • Confirm boards remain entirely on the heated platform
  • Follow maximum temperature ratings for flammable boards
  • Cease operations upon seeing smoke possibly indicating scorched flux residues
  • Allow sufficient cooldown before handling recently energized unit
