Build your own 4-Wheel Drive robot with this complete DIY kit. Includes UNO R3 board, Bluetooth module for phone control, L298N motor driver, and ultrasonic sensors.
Ready to Build Your First Robot? Stop watching videos of robots and start building one. The Smart 4WD Robot Car Kit is the "Hello World" of robotics hardware. It’s not just a toy; it’s a comprehensive crash course in electronics, coding, and mechanical engineering. Whether you are a student looking for a final year project or a hobbyist wanting to understand how autonomous vehicles work, this kit provides the chassis, the brain (Arduino UNO compatible), and the sensors to make it happen.
Quality Advantage: The "No-Frustration" Kit. Let’s be honest—robotics can be frustrating when parts don't work. Cheap kits often come with bent motor shafts or dead microcontroller boards. At Probots, we treat this as an educational tool, not a toy. Every Probots™ QC-Pass kit is inspected to ensure the acrylic chassis is crack-free and the motor drivers are rated for the current load. We prioritise Probots™ Tech-Bridge support, meaning if you get stuck with the code or wiring, our team in Bangalore is just an email away to help you troubleshoot. That peace of mind is what makes this the premium choice for beginners.
Key Applications & Projects
Smartphone Control: Use the HC-05/HC-06 Bluetooth module to turn your phone into a remote control. Drive the car forward, backwards, and spin in circles using a custom app.
Obstacle Avoidance: The ultrasonic sensor (eyes) detects walls and furniture. Program the robot to scan the room and autonomously navigate around obstacles like a robotic vacuum.
Line Follower: Use the IR sensors to make the robot follow a black tape line on the floor—a classic competition challenge.
Swarm Robotics: Buy two kits and program them to "follow the leader" or play robotic soccer.
NOTE: Batteries are not included.should be purchased separately.
Specifications
Controller: Arduino UNO R3 Compatible (ATmega328P).
Chassis: 4-Wheel Drive (4WD) Acrylic Double-Layer Platform.
Motors: 4x High-Torque DC Gear Motors (BO Motors).
Driver: L298N Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver Module.
Sensors included:
Ultrasonic Module (HC-SR04) + Mounting Bracket.
IR Line Tracking Module.
Bluetooth Module (HC-05 or HC-06).
Power: Battery Holder (Generic) with Switch.
Wheels: High-grip rubber tires for various surfaces (tiles, carpet).
Project Evolution
Prerequisite: No prior experience needed. This is the entry point.
The Upgrade: Once you master the basics, this chassis is a modular platform. You can mount a Servo Motor to scan the ultrasonic sensor 180 degrees, or add a Pixy Camera to make it chase colored balls.
Effort Level: Beginner to Intermediate. Wiring requires patience (approx 1-2 hours assembly).
Virtual Technician & Wiring Guide
⚠️ Voltage Warning: The motor driver reduces voltage. We recommend using high-quality Li-ion batteries (18650) instead of standard AA alkaline batteries, which drain too quickly.
Probots™ Logic-Safe: When connecting the Bluetooth module, remember to disconnect the RX/TX pins while uploading code to the Arduino. Failing to do so will cause an "Upload Error."
Wiring Tip: The L298N driver has a 5V output that can power your Arduino. Do not plug the Arduino USB into a computer while the external battery pack is ON and powering the VIN pin simultaneously.
