Bring precision to your motor control! The Promax SD003 features a standard 100KΩ potentiometer output paired with a bright 4-digit red LED display, perfect for VFDs and DC speed controllers.
ProMax LB02A Multifunctional Process Calibrator 4 to 20ma Current Voltage Frequency ₹15,499.00
M8 Thread K Type Thermocouple Probe Temperature Sensor 1m 200mm ₹499.00
K-Type Thermocouple Surface Temperature Sensor - 6mm Washer Probe, 1M Metal Braid ₹499.00
Digital Temperature Controller 12V 1M probe Heating Cooling ₹749.00
Digital Temperature Controller 24V 1M probe Heating Cooling ₹749.00 Precise Visual Feedback The Promax SD003 takes the guesswork out of analog adjustments. Featuring a bright, 4-digit red LED display on the front panel, this module translates the physical turn of the rotary knob into a precise numerical readout (typically 0.0 to 100.0). This allows operators to set exact, repeatable speed or intensity percentages for manufacturing, testing, and automation processes.
Standard 100K Output Integration Despite its digital display, the core control mechanism acts as a standard 100KΩ analog potentiometer. The rear of the PCB features a terminal block with standard VR1, VR2 (Wiper), and VR3 connections. This means it can act as a direct drop-in replacement for standard analog knobs on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) or DC motor PWM speed controllers without needing complex digital programming.
Professional Panel Mount Design Designed for clean integration into custom control boxes or industrial panels, the module features a snap-in bezel design. The front faceplate neatly masks the cutout hole, while the integrated rotary knob provides smooth, tactile resistance for fine adjustments. To power the digital display and internal microcontroller, simply provide a dedicated DC voltage to the rear + DC - terminals.

Key Applications and Projects
VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Control: Replacing standard blind potentiometers to provide a visual percentage of motor speed on industrial lathes and mills.
DC Motor PWM Controllers: Setting exact speeds for conveyor belts, pumps, or automated feeders.
Custom Test Benches: Providing repeatable analog signal voltages for testing sensors and microcontroller ADC pins.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution) The Precision Assembly Conveyor: Upgrade your DIY manufacturing setup! Standard analog knobs make it difficult to return a conveyor belt to an exact speed after it has been adjusted for a different product. By wiring the SD003 100K module to your DC motor controller, you can document specific numerical settings for specific tasks. Set it exactly to "45.5" for assembling large parts, and precisely "82.0" for rapid sorting. Your assembly line will benefit from perfect, immediate repeatability!
1 x Promax SD003 100K Digital Display Potentiometer For Speed Controller
1. What is the resistance value of the output? The control output functions as a standard 100K Ohm potentiometer.
2. Can this be used to control AC voltage directly? No, this is a low-voltage control signal device designed to connect to the control inputs of a VFD or speed controller, not to carry mains AC voltage.
3. What do the VR1, VR2, and VR3 terminals do? These act exactly like the three physical pins of a standard rotary potentiometer, with VR2 generally acting as the wiper (the variable center pin).
4. What does the red LED display show? It typically shows a 0.0 to 100.0 percentage value that corresponds directly to the physical position of the rotary knob.
5. What are the "+ DC -" terminals for? These terminals require an external DC power supply to power the internal microcontroller and illuminate the red LED display.
6. What is the text "HANLEI" printed on the back? Hanlei is the PCB manufacturer and OEM for the SD003-DVR internal circuitry used in this Promax module.
7. Does this module support panel mounting? Yes, it features a flanged bezel and snap-in side tabs designed to mount cleanly into a rectangular panel cutout.
8. What color is the LED display? The 4-digit display illuminates in red.
9. How many digits does the display have? It is a 4-digit, 7-segment LED display.
10. What are buttons A and B on the back used for? These tactile push buttons are used for entering the device's internal menu to calibrate the minimum/maximum display values, adjust scalars, and set decimal point placement.
11. Can I use this with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)? Yes, it is highly recommended for VFDs that require a 100K external potentiometer for frequency control.
12. Is the rotary knob included? Yes, the silver rotary knob is permanently integrated into the front faceplate.
13. Will this work as a direct replacement for an analog 100K pot? Yes, electrically, the VR1, VR2, and VR3 terminals behave just like a standard analog 100K potentiometer.
14. Do I need a separate power supply for the display to turn on? Yes, the display requires its own DC input; it does not draw power from the VR control lines.
15. Can I use this for audio volume control? While it is electrically a 100K pot, it uses a linear taper meant for industrial control and would not sound natural if used as an audio volume dial (which requires a logarithmic taper).
16. What is the blue component on the back of the PCB? It is an internal precision multi-turn trimpot utilized by the board's internal calibration circuitry.
17. How do I wire it to my DC motor controller? Remove your old potentiometer, and wire the controller's 5V, Signal, and Ground wires to VR1, VR2 (wiper), and VR3 respectively.
18. Is the display clearly visible in dark environments? Yes, the active red LED digits emit their own light, making them highly visible in dark or dimly lit industrial environments.
19. What does the icon on the top left of the front panel mean? It is a general industry symbol indicating analog/digital signal modulation and control.
20. Can the display show actual motor RPM? If your motor controller is perfectly linear, you can use the rear A/B buttons to calibrate the display's maximum value (scalar) to roughly match your motor's top RPM, effectively turning it into an RPM readout.
