Accelerometers are also known as gyroscope or angular rate sensors. Accelerometers measure linear acceleration, while gyroscopes measure angular velocity (rate of rotation). However, you can combine an accelerometer and a gyroscope to measure both linear acceleration and angular velocity, which is often done in inertial measurement units (IMUs). Gyroscopes, on the other hand, work with the Coriolis Effect instead of acceleration, and they detect the angular velocity, i.e., how fast the body is turning

GY-912 ICM20948 10DOF gyroscope module is built based on the ICM-20948 sensor and acts as a 9-axis motion tracker module. Inside the ICM-20948 chip is a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter that communicates with other boards through the I2C interface. This compact BMX160 9-axis sensor is an ideal solution for applications that face strict constraints of board space, power consumption, and appearance, like Internet of Things systems, wearable fitness trackers, smart remote controls, quadcopters, and so on.
