• Assembly Order: Thread the wire through the Rear Cover FIRST before soldering! Once you solder the wire to the cup, you cannot put the cover on if you forgot it.

• Soldering: These large cups need heat. Use a heavy-duty soldering iron (60W+) with a large tip. Tin the wire and the cup separately, then fuse them.

• Locking the Cover: Push the rear cover firmly until it "clicks" into place. It is designed to be permanent and is very difficult to remove once locked.

1. Is this the Male or Female connector? This is the Male version. It has metal Pins inside the housing. It is typically used on the Device (ESC/Charger) side.

2. Does it mate with old XT90 connectors? Yes! The front mating part is identical to the classic XT90. The only difference is the rear cover design.

3. Do I need heat shrink? No. The snap-on rear cover insulates the solder joints perfectly.

4. What wire size fits? It comfortably fits 10AWG. You can squeeze in 8AWG if you are careful.

5. Can I remove the cover after snapping it on? It is designed to be permanent. You can pry it off with tools, but you risk damaging the plastic.

6. Is this Anti-Spark? No. This is the standard XT90H. The Anti-Spark version is called "XT90-S" and has a green band on the connector.

7. What is the max voltage? Rated for 500V DC.

8. Why use XT90 instead of XT60? If your system draws more than 60 Amps, XT60s will get hot and can melt. XT90 is safer for high-power builds.

9. Is it waterproof? No.

10. Can I use it for AC mains? No. DC Low Voltage only.

11. How do I tell if it's genuine Amass? Genuine units have the "Amass" logo moulded sharply into the casing.

12. What happens if I forget to put the cover on the wire first? You will have to desolder the wire, put the cover on, and resolder. (We've all been there!)

14. What is the contact resistance? Very low, approximately 0.30mΩ.

15. Can I use this on a battery? Conventionally, batteries use the Female connector (to prevent shorting pins). However, for custom projects, you can use whatever gender you prefer.

16. Does it come as a pair? No, this listing is for the Male connector only.

17. Is it easy to unplug? It has a tight fit for good conductivity. It requires a firm grip to unplug.

18. Can I crimp it? No, these are solder-cup connectors only.
