Eliminate voltage drop! This 24V RGB LED strip features 300 ultra-bright 5050 LEDs across a 5-meter roll. Encased in IP65 waterproof silicone, it ensures consistent, brilliant color from end to end without fading.
The 24V Architectural Advantage If you have ever installed a 5-meter 5V or 12V LED strip and noticed the lights at the end look dim, you have experienced voltage drop. The thin copper traces inside the strip act as resistors over long distances. By upgrading to a 24V architecture, the current required to generate the same amount of light is halved. Less current means significantly less resistance loss through the copper traces. This allows you to run this entire 5-meter strip from a single power injection point, guaranteeing perfectly uniform brightness and color accuracy from the first LED to the 300th.
High-Density 5050 RGB Brilliance This strip does not use cheap, alternating single-color LEDs. It utilizes massive 5050 SMD (Surface Mount Device) packages. Every single one of the 300 LEDs on this roll contains an independent Red, Green, and Blue light-emitting die within the same white plastic casing. By adjusting the voltage sent to the R, G, and B copper pads using a standard RGB controller, you can optically mix these three primary colors to generate millions of different hues, from pure stark white to deep, moody purples. Packing 60 of these LEDs into every meter ensures a smooth, continuous wash of light with minimal "dotting."
IP65 Weather & Dust Protection Bare electronics are fragile. This specific strip is encased in a thick, flexible, optically clear silicone gel (IP65 rating). This heavy-duty coating protects the delicate copper traces and surface-mount resistors from dust, accidental short-circuits (like dropping a screwdriver across the strip), and light water splashes. It is ideal for mounting under kitchen cabinets, illuminating outdoor patios, or lining the interior of a custom camper van.
Note: LED driver or Adapter are not included in the package; you have to buy it separately.

Key Applications and Projects
Cove and Cabinet Lighting: Providing continuous, bright, shadow-free illumination under kitchen cabinets or along ceiling coves.
Custom PC / Sim Rig Bias Lighting: Creating a massive, immersive halo of colored light behind a multi-monitor sim-racing setup.
Smart Home Integration: Wiring the strip into a custom ESP32 board equipped with high-power MOSFETs to control room lighting via Home Assistant or Alexa.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution) The Custom Sunrise Alarm Clock: Standard RGB controllers only offer abrupt, clunky color changes. Evolve your lighting! Cut a 2-meter section of this 24V strip and mount it behind your headboard. Wire the R, G, and B pads to three heavy-duty IRLZ44N MOSFETs driven by the PWM pins of an Arduino Nano. Write a script that slowly fades the LEDs from a dim, deep red, through a warm orange, and finally into a blinding bright white over a 30-minute period every morning. You have just built a custom, cinematic sunrise simulator that wakes you up naturally without a blaring alarm!
1 x 5-Meter Roll of 24V RGB 5050 LED Strip (IP65)
1 x Pre-soldered 4-Pin Female Pigtail Connector

1. What is the difference between a 12V and a 24V LED strip? A 24V strip carries power much more efficiently over long distances. A 5-meter 12V strip often suffers from "voltage drop," making the end of the strip look dim. A 24V strip ensures uniform, maximum brightness from end to end without needing power injected at both sides.
2. Are these LEDs "addressable" (like WS2812B NeoPixels)? No. This is a standard "Analog" RGB strip. All 300 LEDs on the strip will change to the exact same color simultaneously. You cannot make one LED red while the one next to it is blue.
3. What do the 5050 and 60 LEDs/m numbers mean? "5050" refers to the physical size of the LED chip (5.0mm x 5.0mm), which are the brightest standard chips available. "60 LEDs/m" means there are 60 individual LEDs packed into every meter of the strip, providing a very smooth, continuous glow.
4. What voltage power supply do I need? You must use a 24V DC power supply. Attempting to power this with a standard 12V supply will result in the LEDs barely turning on, if at all.
5. How many Amps/Watts should my power supply be? The full 5-meter roll draws approximately 72 Watts when set to full white (all three colors on maximum). Watts = Volts x Amps. Therefore, 72W / 24V = 3 Amps. You need a 24V power supply rated for at least 3A (4A or 5A is highly recommended for safety headroom).
6. Can I cut this strip to make it shorter? Yes. Look closely at the copper pads; there is a printed scissor icon every 6 LEDs (roughly every 10cm). You can safely cut the strip exactly on that line with regular scissors.
7. Can I link two 5-meter rolls together to make a 10-meter run? While you can physically plug them together, running 10 continuous meters from a single power source will likely exceed the current rating of the thin copper traces inside the first strip, causing it to overheat and melt. For 10 meters, you must run a parallel power wire from the power supply directly to the start of the second strip.
8. What does IP65 mean? It means the top of the strip is covered in a clear silicone gel. This makes it completely dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets (like splashing). It is NOT submersible; do not put it underwater in a pool or aquarium.
9. Can I control this with an Arduino or ESP32? Yes, but you cannot connect the strip directly to the microcontroller's pins. The microcontroller only outputs 5V (or 3.3V) at very low current. You must use the microcontroller to drive heavy-duty N-channel MOSFETs (like the IRLZ44N), which then act as digital switches to control the high-current 24V power going to the strip.
10. What are the four wires/pads on the strip? They are +24V (Common Anode Power), R (Red ground return), G (Green ground return), and B (Blue ground return).
11. How do I make the color white? To create white light, your controller provides full ground paths to the R, G, and B lines simultaneously. Because these are RGB LEDs, the "white" they produce usually has a slightly cool, bluish/purplish tint compared to a dedicated white LED.
12. Why is my red wire connected to the green pad? The colored wires on cheap 4-pin pigtail connectors rarely match the letters printed on the LED strip. Ignore the wire colors; always trace the physical wire back to the specific copper pad (R, G, B, or +24V) it is soldered to.
13. Does this strip have adhesive on the back? Yes, it features 3M double-sided tape. Ensure the surface you are sticking it to is completely clean, dry, and free of grease before application.
14. Why is the strip getting warm? 5050 LEDs are powerful and generate heat. While it shouldn't burn you, it will get warm. For maximum lifespan, stick the strip to an aluminum LED channel to act as a heatsink, rather than raw wood or plastic.
15. Can I bend the strip around sharp 90-degree corners? You can bend it gently, but do not fold it flat like a piece of paper, especially on the silicone IP65 version. A sharp fold will snap the internal copper traces. For sharp 90-degree turns, cut the strip and solder small jumper wires between the pads.
16. How do I connect the strip after I cut it? You can carefully use a hobby knife to scrape away a millimeter of the silicone coating to expose the copper pads, and then solder wires directly to them. Alternatively, you can purchase specific 10mm 4-pin "solderless clip" connectors.
17. What happens if I accidentally reverse the polarity (+ and -)? Standard RGB LED strips do not usually have reverse polarity protection. Reversing the 24V and Ground lines can permanently damage the individual LED diodes.
18. Will this fade over time? All LEDs slowly lose brightness over tens of thousands of hours. However, keeping the strip cool (using an aluminum channel) will drastically slow down this degradation.
19. Why does my strip look yellow at the end, even though it's 24V? If a 24V strip looks yellow at the end, your power supply is likely failing or severely under-rated for the load, causing the voltage to collapse before it even enters the strip. Ensure your supply is providing a true 24V under a 3A load.
20. Does it come with a remote control? No, this listing is for the bare 5-meter roll of LEDs only. You must provide your own 24V power supply and an RGB controller box.
