• ⚠️ CRITICAL POWER WARNING: EL Wire CANNOT be powered directly by a DC battery. It requires an EL Inverter. Plugging this directly into a battery will damage the wire.
• ⚡ Cutting Safety: You can cut the wire to fit your mask exactly! After cutting, place a drop of superglue or hot glue on the cut end to seal it electrically.
• Wiring: The JST-SM connector is keyed. It only fits one way. Do not force it.

1. Does this come with a battery pack?
   No. This is the wire only. You must purchase a driver/inverter separately.
2. Why does the wire look pink when turned off?
   The outer jacket is dyed red/pink to filter the internal phosphor's light. When the white-blue phosphor lights up inside, it combines with the jacket to create the glowing Red color.
3. Is 1 Meter enough for a whole suit?
   No. 1 Meter is good for a helmet, a gauntlet, or a weapon prop. A full body suit usually requires 3-5 meters or multiple 1M strands.
4. Can I use a 12V source?
   Yes, if you use our 12V EL Inverter. Do not connect the wire directly to 12V DC.
5. Is it waterproof?
   The wire is waterproof (IP65), but the connector and inverter are not.
6. Does it get hot?
   No. It is a "cold light" source and is safe for foam and fabric.
7. Can I cut it?
   Yes. You can cut it to any length. Seal the end with glue.
8. How do I attach it to EVA foam?
   Clear superglue (cyanoacrylate) works best. You can also press it into a groove cut into the foam.
9. Can I animate it (make it blink)?
   Yes, if you buy an inverter that has a "Blink" or "Strobe" mode (most of our battery inverters have this).
10. Is it bright enough for a car brake light?
    No. It is for decorative interior accent lighting only. It is not bright enough to be a legal exterior signal light.
11. Can I bend it 90 degrees?
    Yes, but avoid bending it sharply back and forth, which can break the internal wire.
12. Does the inverter make noise?
    Yes, a faint high-pitched whine is normal for EL inverters.
13. Can I use a coin cell inverter?
    Yes, a 1M length works perfectly with a CR2032 coin cell inverter.
14. Is it safe for kids' costumes?
    Yes, provided the battery pack is secure.
15. Does it fade?
    Over a long time (thousands of hours), the brightness will slowly decrease.
16. Can I extend it?
    Yes, but soldering EL wire is difficult for beginners.
