This camera module is specifically designed to work with Arduino and similar Microcontrollers. This is a low cost camera module, that can operate at a maximum of 30 fps and 640 x 480 ("VGA") resolutions, equivalent to 0.3 Megapixels. The captured image can be pre-processed by the DSP before sending it out. This preprocessing can be configured via the Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB). Combination is though an I2C SCCB interface. It is a very popular camera module and numerous tutorials, example codes and libraries are available on the internet. The OV7670 image sensor is a small size, low voltage, single-chip VGA camera and CMOS image processor for all functions. It provides full-frame, sub-sampled or windowed 8-bit images in various formats, controlled through the Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) interface.
