Build your ultimate high-power benchtop supply. The RD6024W delivers up to 60V and 24A (1440W) with pinpoint digital accuracy, PC data logging, and WiFi app control. Kit includes the control module, a metal enclosure, and wiring hardware.
Massive 1440W Output Capacity Whether you are testing high-torque DC motors, powering heavy LED arrays, or charging large lithium battery packs, the RD6024W has the headroom you need. It is a step-down (buck) converter capable of outputting anywhere from 0 to 60.00V and 0 to 24.00A. The advanced internal circuitry automatically transitions between Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) modes, ensuring your sensitive electronics are perfectly protected from over-current scenarios.
Smart Connectivity: WiFi & USB The "W" in RD6024W stands for WiFi. This unit features a built-in wireless module that allows you to connect it to your local network. Using the dedicated smartphone app, you can monitor voltage, adjust current limits, and turn the output on or off remotely. Additionally, the front-facing micro-USB port allows you to connect the supply directly to your PC. The free PC software provides an incredibly detailed dashboard where you can plot voltage/current graphs over time and log data to Excel—perfect for battery discharge testing!
The Complete DIY Enclosure Kit Building a clean, safe power supply used to mean drilling and cutting your own project boxes. This kit solves that by including a custom-machined white metal enclosure. It features precise cutouts for the RD6024W front panel, as well as rear cutouts for the included AC socket and heavy-duty rocker switch. The kit also provides heavy-gauge, pre-crimped wire pigtails to connect the switch and socket to your internal power source.
Important: Bring Your Own Power (SMPS) Please note that the RD6024W is a converter module, not an AC wall adapter. To make this unit function, you must purchase a separate AC-to-DC Switched-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) to mount inside the empty metal case. For maximum performance, a 65V / 1500W industrial SMPS is highly recommended.

Protections: Over-Voltage (OVP), Over-Current (OCP), Over-Temperature (OTP), and Anti-Backflow (for battery charging).
Custom E-Bike Battery Charging: Utilizing the massive 60V/24A capacity and the dedicated green anti-backflow terminal to safely charge custom 48V or 52V lithium-ion battery packs for electric bicycles and scooters.
Heavy-Duty Motor Testing: Supplying high-amperage, stable DC power to test industrial stepper motors, high-torque CNC spindle motors, or RC brushless motors without tripping standard 5A bench supplies.
DIY Electroplating & Anodizing: Using the precise Constant Current (CC) mode to control the exact flow of electrons through a chemical bath, allowing you to perfectly anodize custom aluminum parts or zinc-plate rusty car hardware.
Electronics Prototyping: Dialing the supply down to a clean 5V or 3.3V to safely test delicate Arduino or Raspberry Pi circuits, using the Over-Current Protection (OCP) to instantly cut power if you accidentally create a short circuit.
Unlock New Capabilities (Project Evolution)
The Automated Battery Diagnostic Lab: Don't just use this as a "dumb" power plug! Because the RD6024W features a micro-USB port and dedicated PC software, you can evolve your workbench into a full diagnostic laboratory. Before you weld together a massive 100-cell battery pack, use the PC software to graph the exact charge curve of your individual lithium cells over time. The software will automatically log the voltage, current, and total capacity to an Excel spreadsheet, allowing you to easily spot and weed out weak or degraded cells before they ruin your expensive battery builds!

What does "SMPS not included" mean? SMPS stands for Switched-Mode Power Supply. The RD6024W is just the "brain" and the screen. You must buy a separate large, silver AC-to-DC power supply block to put inside the case to actually convert your wall AC power into DC power.
What size SMPS should I buy for this case? You should look for an industrial SMPS rated for roughly 65V and 1200W to 1500W. Ensure the physical dimensions of the SMPS you buy will fit inside the provided metal enclosure.
Why do I need a 65V SMPS if this outputs 60V? The RD6024W is a "step-down" or "buck" converter. It cannot output a higher voltage than it takes in. It also needs a little bit of voltage headroom to operate. To get a full 60V out, you need about 65V going in.
Can I use a 24V or 48V power supply instead? Yes! If you only need 20V maximum for your projects, you can use a 24V SMPS. Just remember that your maximum output voltage will always be slightly lower than your input voltage.
Is this a boost (step-up) converter? No. It is strictly a buck (step-down) converter.
What is the maximum wattage it can handle? The maximum output is 1440W (60 Volts multiplied by 24 Amps).
What does the "W" in RD6024W stand for? The "W" indicates that this model includes a WiFi communication board, allowing you to control and monitor the power supply via a smartphone app.
Can I connect this to my computer? Yes, there is a micro-USB port on the front panel. You can use the official RIDEN PC software to control the unit and log data.
What are the colored terminals on the front for? The Red is Positive out, the Black is Negative out, and the Green is a dedicated battery charging terminal.
Why is there a dedicated green terminal for batteries? The green terminal is internally connected to anti-backflow circuitry. This prevents battery voltage from rushing backward into the power supply if the power gets cut, protecting the module from exploding.
Does the screen show wattage? Yes, the vibrant 2.4-inch LCD simultaneously displays your set voltage, set current, actual voltage, actual current, and total wattage.
Can I lock the keypad so I don't accidentally bump the dial? Yes, there is a dedicated "LOCK" button on the keypad (the number 2 key) to prevent accidental voltage changes during a critical test.
What is OVP and OCP? OVP is Over-Voltage Protection, and OCP is Over-Current Protection. You can set hard limits so the power supply automatically shuts off if your device under test starts drawing too much power.
What are all the loose wires for? The included colored wires are pre-crimped with spade and ferrule connectors. They are used to wire the AC socket and the rocker switch to your SMPS, and to wire the SMPS DC output to the RD6024W module.
Does it come with an AC power cord to plug into the wall? No, you will need to provide a standard computer-style AC power cord (IEC C13 to standard wall plug) to plug into the back of the case.
What is the little green circuit board on the wire? That is an external temperature sensor probe. You can tape it to a battery you are charging, and the power supply can be programmed to shut off if the battery gets too hot!
Is there a fuse inside the RD6024W? Yes, the RD6024W mainboard has replaceable onboard fuses to protect it from catastrophic short circuits.
Can I use this without the metal case? Yes, the RD6024W control panel is self-contained. You can mount it directly into a custom wooden desk panel or a 3D-printed enclosure if you prefer.
How accurate is the current limiting? The RD6024 series is highly accurate, generally offering current resolution and reading accuracy down to 0.01A (10mA).
Is this safe for a beginner to assemble? Building this kit requires wiring 110V/220V AC mains power to the switch, socket, and SMPS. If you are not comfortable or experienced with mains voltage wiring, you should seek assistance from a qualified electrician, as improper AC wiring is extremely dangerous.
