• SAFETY WARNING: 100W of UV light is BLINDING. Never look at the chip. The light bouncing off walls is enough to hurt your eyes. Wear UV goggles.

   

• Thermal Management: MANDATORY. Do not even test this for 1 second without a heatsink. You need a large CPU cooler (150W TDP) or a water cooling block.

• Driving: Probots™ Logic-Safe ⚡ Rule: This device needs ~34V. You cannot run it from 12V or 24V directly. Use a 150W Boost Converter or a dedicated 100W LED Driver.

1. Will this cure Anycubic/Elegoo resin?
   Yes, 405nm is the exact wavelength designed for these standard consumer resins.
2. Can I use an old PC heatsink?
   Only if it is a large one (like a Cooler Master Hyper 212) with a high-speed fan. Stock Intel coolers are likely too small.
3. How do I power this?
   You need a 30-36V DC source capable of 3.5A. A "100W LED Driver" is the easiest solution.
4. Can I run it on 12V?
   No. You must use a Boost Converter (Step-Up) to raise 12V to roughly 34V.
5. Does it generate ozone?
   No, 405nm UVA does not generate ozone (that requires UVC <240nm).
6. Is it waterproof?
   No, keep it away from liquid resin and water.
7. How fast does it cure?
   A typical layer cures in <1 second. A full model cures in 30-60 seconds.
8. Can I dim it?
   Yes, if your driver supports PWM or Analog dimming. This is useful if 100W is warping thin parts.
9. Why is it purple?
   405nm is at the edge of visible light, appearing as a bright violet.
10. Will it yellow my prints?
    Yes, over-curing with 100W can yellow clear resins quickly. Reduce exposure time.
11. Do I need a lens?
    Not usually. The 120° flood is perfect for a reflective box. A lens would create a "hotspot".
12. Can I use thermal glue?
    No. Use high-quality thermal paste and screws/clamps. Glue is an insulator at this power level.
13. Is it safe for eyes?
    NO. The intensity is blinding. Use UV400 rated safety glasses or a face shield.
14. What is the current limit?
    Absolute max is 3500mA. We recommend 3000mA for safety.
