• WARNING: EYE SAFETY. 30W of 405nm light is blindingly bright and carries high energy. NEVER look directly at the emitter. Use UV-blocking safety glasses.

• Thermal Management: CRITICAL: A passive heatsink is NOT enough. You MUST use a large aluminum heatsink combined with a high-RPM cooling fan (Active Cooling). Failure to cool will destroy the chip in < 2 seconds.

• Driving: Probots™ Logic-Safe  Rule: Use a dedicated 30W Constant Current Driver (1050mA). Do not attempt to drive this with a simple resistor or voltage regulator.

1. Will this cure my 3D printer resin?
   Yes, 405nm is the exact standard wavelength for almost all consumer SLA/DLP resins.

2. Can I run this on 12V?
   No, you need a Step-Up (Boost) driver to reach the required 30-34V range.

3. How fast does it cure?
   For thin layers, it can cure in seconds. Full model post-curing typically takes 1-2 minutes depending on size.

4. Does it get hot?
   Yes, extremely hot. It requires a heatsink with an active fan immediately upon startup.

5. Can I use a resistor instead of a driver?
   No. At 30W, resistors are inefficient and dangerous. Use a Constant Current Driver.

6. Is it waterproof?
   No, the COB surface is sensitive to moisture.

7. Can I dim it?
   Yes, if your LED driver supports PWM dimming.

8. What is the lifespan?
   50,000 hours if kept under 65°C.

9. Does it emit dangerous UV?
   It emits UVA (405nm), which is safer than UVC but still hazardous to eyes at this intensity.

10. Why is the voltage range 30-34V?
    This is the characteristic voltage drop of 10 LED dies in series.

11. Can I use thermal tape?
    No, thermal tape is not good enough for 30W. Use high-quality thermal paste and screws.

12. Is the light purple?
    Yes, 405nm is visible as a very bright, deep violet/purple light.

13. Can I use it for screen exposure?
    Yes, it works excellent for screen printing exposure units.

14. How much current does it need?
    We recommend 900mA for a balance of power and heat, max 1050mA.

16. Why is copper better than aluminum?
    Copper conducts heat away from the LED dies much faster, preventing burnout.

    Yes, if you have a driver capable of 60W+ (or two separate drivers).

    Yes, prolonged exposure to high-intensity 405nm light can yellow clear plastics.

19. Does it come with a lens?
    No, it is a 120° flood emitter.

20. Is it safe for plants?
    It can be used for specific UV supplementation but is not a full-spectrum grow light.
