The  8 x 8 RGB LED Module WS2812B has a built-in Full-Color Driving Lights Circular Development Board and a round black shape. 64 super bright smart NeoPixels LED arranged in a PCB.
These ring RGB lamps can be simply connected via the output pin cascade one to the other’s input pin (DI-DO).

In this way, by using only one single chip you will be able to control as many LED lights as possible, Each LED lamp is integrated with a driver chip in it so that our LED becomes intelligent and addressable.
Each has a -18mA constant current drive, so the LED color will be very uniform, even if the voltage change is the same, do not need an external resistor current limiting resistor to make the overall design of the RGB lamp ring slim, as you see so simple and easy to use. With a 5V power supply to drive the RGB lamp ring.

Single wire communication, to maximize the reduction of I/O port pressure, and the use of the RGB WS2812B driver chip, so that the peripheral circuit requires only a single capacitor can meet the needs of the circuit, give people the enjoyment of beauty, in addition, this RGB ring, but also through a simple Dout input port, and the other using the same chip RGB lamp cascade, without need considering the shape of the limit.

Additionally, you can chain as many panels together as you’d like. For the second panel, connect the DIN connection to the first panel’s DOUT, connect the ground pins, and power with 5V. It should be noted that after four or more panels you may run low on RAM if you’re using an Arduino Uno and you may need a 5V 10A power supply for so many of these!
There are solder pads on the back for connecting wires or breadboard pins and two mounting holes for securing this board to many different surfaces.

Features:

  • This  RGB LED Driver Development Board is a large board with 64 WS2812 RGB LEDs arranged in an 8×8 matrix
  • Each LED is capable of drawing as much as 60mA (at peak brightness the matrix can draw just over 3.5 Amps at 5 Volts)
  • This adds up so it is suggested to use a 5V 2A power supply. For most users, you’ll see about 1-2A of current per panel.
  • There are two 3-pin connection ports to the wiring board.
  • Solder wires to the input port and provide 5VDC to the +5V and ground pins, then connect the DIN pin to your microcontroller and make a common ground from the 5V power supply to the microcontroller/Arduino.
  • Every stick is equipped with a single data line with a very timing-specific protocol requiring a real-time microcontroller with an 8MHz or faster processor such as an AVR, Arduino, PIC, etc.
  • The control circuit and the LED share the only power source.
  • The control circuit and RGB chip are integrated into a package of 5050 components, forming a complete control of pixel points.
  • Built-in signal reshaping circuit, after wave reshaping to the next driver, ensures wave-form distortion does not accumulate.
  • Built-in electric reset circuit and power lost reset circuit.
  • Each pixel of the three primary colors can achieve 256 brightness levels, or 16M colors full-color display, and scan frequency not less than 400Hz/s.
  • Cascading port transmission signal by a single line.
  • Any two points the distance of more than 5m transmission signal without any increase circuit.
  • When the refresh rate is 30fps, the cascade number is not less than 1024 points.
  • Send data at speeds of 800Kbps.
  • The color of the light was highly consistent
